you will really need to learn for yourself who's best for you and which jobs suit you best.
Thanks for your kind words Josie.
I think you have hit the nail on the head as well, there is no magic answer and each individual needs to work out whats best for them with the companies. I very much doubt my formula would work for that many people, but hopefully it will point some int he right direction.
The free items part is the big plus especially groceries - I cant remember the last time I did a proper big supermarket shop for example and last year I had all the Christmas pretty much sorted by November by building 'The Social Cupboard' to store snakcs etc in for the festive season, which I picked up on corner shop jobs etc. But when I was buying loads of things like stamps, I sold them in bulk originally on Ebay to recoup some of my costs. I ended up with a deal going with a finance company who found me on Ebay, they bought all of my stamps every month for a year at 80% of face value. Helped offset my travel costs no end .....0 -
Red Fox
I had the same thing.
They cancelled several jobs and barred me from burgers, red corner shops, chicken shop and red and black petrol all on the same day.
Cheers Paul
They barred you from burgers and now they are ringing everyone up just to get the burger jobs done - seems crazy to me
I agree, I only use them as fillers.0 -
Just done my first meal pub job for RE. The food and beer was nice.
Anyway, when claiming your costs can you include the tip? My bill + tip is still less than the spend limit but obviously when they see the scan receipt it will show less than what I am claiming.0 -
Only claim what your bill come to, I think they will only pay the bill amount anywaySealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

They will only pay your meal costs, not the tip. Very few companies will pay the tip (although some do).
I refuse to leave a tip, when it is not reimbursed, as it is effectively paying to work! I rationlise this by thinking to myself that the good report I leave for excellent service will benefit the staff member FAR more! :TEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
It's always like that when these jobs first go on. It wouldn't load for me either. I just had to put in each county I would do them in, separately an this worked. I think it's just high traffic when the jobs are new.
Are you browsing with Firefox? I can't access page two with Firefox, but if I switch to IE then it seems to work fine for me. :rolleyes:0 -

I use firefox on my Mac and can't highlight any jobs to get details. If I'm lucky enough to grab a job I have to use my son's PC (soooooooo slow!) and that is set up with IE, but even using that I can't get to page 2 if there are a lot of jobs.
I don't think it's just slow to load, either, because when it's loading it usually has the little circle going round, and on this it doesn't - it just doesn't respond at all.0 -

Also, if you do leave a tip you can ask for a final receipt that includes the tip in the total price.0 -
I have a quick question about Gap as I'm starting to get paranoid. Would they not pay you for a job without letting you know, or do they let you know, or always query before not paying. I've yet to have a query from them, but I have noticed a number of jobs which I completed appear on the list again.
They're also not letting me sign up for chicken jobs even though I've never done one before, have been certified, and they've actually emailed me to let me know the job was available. I have emailed them about this, but as yet no reply.
Thanks,
FF0
