so you are working in a store which is short staffed why is that the customers fault , its yours your working for the company and clearly will not do anything to solve it such as complain to head office.

    :rotfl:

So you think any head office will increase a staffing budget at the drop of a hat if someone who works there asks.

You really haven't got a clue!

For 13 years I was meeting 1000 people a day, you're right in the top 0.1% for ignorance.

In fact why stop there? Avoid the queue at the tills completely, just walk out without paying.

Some have already started that on here!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Dammit this thread has made me angry that there are such cretins in this country.

He can't seem to even understand simple business models. Supermarkets sell cheap by keeping overheads low. Now it doesn't take much brain to work out you're not going to get a personal shopper service and might have to queue.

Went in to town today massive que in the bank , massive queue at petrol station, massive queue in the supermarket WHY?? all queing like a bunch on tounge draggers and they seem happy about it SHOUT OUT LOUD I SAY im not having it get more staff on , cut there breaks make them work through .
I am not working in my break WHICH I AM ENTITLED TO BY LAW to serve annoying customers like you.

I, personally, go to the supermarket, launderette, bank and petrol station when I know it won't be busy! Usually a Friday or Saturday night (except bank, obviously, but I bank online so rarely go, thus avoiding the queues)

Also, shopping online can avoid queues but I can understand why some people don't like doing it (replacement items or items nearer sell by date than you would choose). I try to be quite laid back so I don't mind these things.

Even when I am in a queue or traffic, what is the point in getting frustrated? Just relax and be glad you can have a few quiet moments to yourself.

.you wouldnt serve me becouse if the queue was to big i would leave i dont do queues.

I see you don't "do" English grammar and spelling either. :rotfl:
  • Also, how would you like it if you were made to work through your break for no other reason than some whinging sh*tsack was unhappy they had to wait 5 minutes to buy something? Let's not even get into that whole "legal requirement for breaks" dealie.

Dammit this thread has made me angry that there are such cretins in this country.

EDIT: Having now read all of the b*llocks TLR has written in this thread, I've come to the conclusion that he's actually transcended his physical form and become a glowing, white hot ball of pure Daily Mail-readerishness.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: This is the best and funniest reply yet i take it your a little peeved? but how can a company which is short staffed , managed by morons, and has issues with staff sickness be the customers fault???.and how can any one who is employed by them stand up for them.

Marples Public School Slang 31 Oik, hoik: very widely used and of some age; at Cheltenham (1897) it meant simply a working man,
    What offensive about that????

I don't think you'll find that is the common meaning. Again I have to help you because you haven't got a clue:

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=oik

from the Oxford English Dictionary: oick, oik (OIk). slang. Etym. obscure. Depreciatory schoolboy word for a member of another school; an unpopular or disliked fellow-pupil. Also gen., an obnoxious or unpleasant person; in weakened senses, a 'nit-wit', a 'clot'. Hence 'oikish a., unpleasant, crude; 'oickman (see quot. 1925).

It's nothing to do with that. The fact is it's also not the person on the shop floors fault which you seem to think it is.

A little unfair an oik to me is what i have said, you have decided to choose the negative form of oik , in order to win your argument and in turn are behaving as an oik in your view.
