Sorry but that is rubbish! ADSL max is a different technology that can achieve higher speeds in a similar way that ADSL2 and ADSL2+ can. These different standards all work on normal exchange lines.

Can you explain that a little more please D2? It sounds to me as for example id need an o2 contract? Whats the download limits etc?

ermi am on contract with them,, and for some reason they offered me o2 broadband package 8 MB for free, or 16MB for £2.50, so i thought i may aswell take the £2.50 one as i was currently paying £25 i believe.. and the internet has no download cap, and i have downloaded quite a bit, but i am yet to have my speeds slowed down.

i recieve a regular 8-12 MB download,, and a 1-1.8MB upload,, so its not that bad.

people love me hosting games on xbox live anyways so im happy

I stand corrected ~ Though surely the lines to the house do have their limits?
