Morning everyone
Wow Mozzy sounds like your routine is coming together nicely:j
Valli not nice about the light but it did make me laugh. It made me think of an incident with my mum and dad back in the day. At the time it was really scary but looking back on it, it was hilarious and Im not sure how none of the adults didn't figure then that she was a bit mad.
Nicki Glad you have a plan.
I'm not sure how my list will go today coz my friend is meant to be coming by to make koeksusters-but I thought it was yesterday and I guess I was wrong. So maybe I should give her a call.
I do need to get the house sorted though coz she and one of her husbands friends are coming here for supper tomorrow night...she's cooking though. She wanted us to join them there so she wasnt alone with him (her DH just started in the army and they are allowed out on Sunday so the friend wanted to go with so he's staying the week end) but there place is smaller than ours.
I have a few sewing projects that I want to get done before bestman/ex arrives next week to so I should have a look around and get a list going to post.
Hope you all have a wonderful day.0 -
awww so many seem to have cought a cold now - i do hope you all get better really really really really quickly!!!! :grouphug:
kids are at nursery and i had a chat with my neighbour (she works there) and poor woman is having a rough time atm!
her car was stolen today; her son got a puck (from icehockey) in his face; the heating broke down; and some more bits ...
i'll talk to DH and we'll see if she can have our 2nd car till they get sorted.
she is such a lovely person and is always the first to help others!

i'd love to have a friend coming around and do the cooking for us :j

What a nice thought!
Re the shade - there was a 'wooden effect' ring and the glass ball screwed into that...goodness knows how it unscrewed itself...yet another thing to add to the bathroom refit list...well I am paying that lot (points to sig) off first...even though it isn't a huge debt compared to some it still is costing me interest ...
Well I have plunged my hand into the loo and got the glass out...so glad the last user had flushed it!
It's in a bag all tied up neatly to go in the bin when the bin has been washed and dried (ie swilled out with floor mopping water and tilted to dry it...it smelled 'unpleasant' this morning but I didn't spot any maggots...
PC defragged and then acted up - I have had to shut down and restart...
Bed made - kids rooms are pits so I have shut their doors...they WILL do them when they get in from school.

Morning all and get well wishes to all of your feeling poorly today.
SexyM great news on your job
MoF good to see you hun and hope things are in place soon for your son. I'm lucky and have no personal experience but from helping in the primary school for many years it never ceases to amaze me the huge range of ability of children at that age. A little boy was reading to me yesterday who is progressing very slowly through the reading scheme. He found the words tricky but his understanding and questioning of what was going on in the pictures was fantastic, he took so much more notice and interest than lots of the children who would have read the book with ease and at speed.
Holly hope your car is back today
Pigpen I think a list of contributors to the thread would be great. I'm useless at names and rememberbering who is who so a reminder would be great, maybe it could be started like the meet list with copy, paste and add your line ie:
DustyKitten (DK or Dusty for short) has DH DS1 (14) DS2 (12) DS3 (6) regular poster but often falls off the wagon, no real areas of expertise but likes to give an opinion.
I really have been off the wagon this week but know I can pull it all back, going to start with my dalies and then HHC room rescue time. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Valli three minutes late but Im in0
