Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! It was bad enough a couple of nights ago when I went upstairs, I turned to talk to hubby and a few inches from my face on the wall was a spider about 2.5" across! I swore loudly and it dropped off the wall near my feet  We've got what I think is a tube spider in a crack in the wall in the hallway. It was there last winter and either the same one or a different one has appeared again in the last week or so. Now it didn't bother me then but since I read they can bite now it bothers me :undecided I just wish all the spiders we get inside weren't so huge! Ones up to 1" I'm not too bad with but the biggest I've seen this year was about 3" across!!!
I'm scared to move things :rotfl:Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Still here at the moment
Denise hugs - my DS1 is 14 1/2 and some days are much tougher than others - he is bright but can't be bothered. He is so lazy it is untrue. At the moment he is doing ok at school, he gets embarassed if he is in trouble so does actually do his homework but often at 10 at night with a lot of banging around. I'm really strict most of the time but it doesn't help. It is often him who makes me feel so down. He is capable of doing really well but there is always an excuse as to why his grades aren't quite as good as they could be.
If it is any help from invigilating exams for a couple of years there are loads who really don't care, some only write their name on the exams papers and just sit there.
I'm sure it is not anything you have done and lots of schools do their best. I'm just hanging on to what CS said and Soappie has said before that they do come out the other side.
Think I'll make some lunch whilst waiting for the phone. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Shopping has been delivered and all put away. Then I cut the grass back and front because the sun came out.......but it didn't last long and it really looks like rain now *watches sky* so I might have to run out and grab the washing back in. I've left my shoes by the back door ready
I'm not doing anything else, I damp wiped and vacuumed the living room yesterday so that will do until tomorrow.
I've also sorted through the Christmas stuff I've bought and worked out that I needed two more things and they are now ordered. I'd do some wrapping but I've got nowhere to store stuff if it's wrapped so it will have to wait until after the bathroom has been done because I will need the space in the spare room to put bathroom stuff in for a week or two. Of course if we didn't have a train set on top of the wardrobe I'd be able to put some boxes up there....
My "children" are all grown up now (youngest is 24 next month and she is moving out after Christmas) and they do indeed improve with keeping. My eldest was the most difficult but she's settled and has a good job now. I never thought that would happen 10 years ago.

I have done a huge !!!!!! up with the bank accounts and now have 2 over drawn  Tax credits go in tomorrow, but its not enough to clear them. I cant understand the second one though, it's all debit cards that I used last week just going through today, but I was sure there was enough in it to cover them! Dont even want to guess what the charges will be!!!
Ah well, deep breath.... DH gets paid on Friday and I can sort it out.
Will take my frustration out on Land of Leather whop have not yet wirtten to tell me whats going on, and a recliner has broken and my sofas were on watchdog last night about the skin reactions!!!!!
Ok, so it's living room day isnt it? Better get started and keep my mind of debts.....0 -
Denise I was a little git. Not in the sence of acting up at school, I just didnt go. And nothing anyone tried could make me go. I was clever, cleverererer than I am now, school was so easy that I didnt really have to go. I sat only 2 of my exams (standard grades here that you do when your 15/16) general level math and english, and I got full marks for Maths and lost 2 marks in english. My teachers were mad, but I didnt go back.
My brother was a little sod, he broke into shops, smashed windwos, got dragged home drunk and spewing his ring while telling my dad how he was a btard etc.
Both of us are now quite nice adults! I think most kids go throigh it, but they turn out ok in the end. As Pigpen said, don't make a big deal, be there when he wants you, never say I told you so and try and remember that you do love him.0 -
I was a not pleasant teen but only didn't go to school twice, I clashed with my Mam in a huge way hence I left home earlier than most. I think we've all gone through a not so pleasant stage at some point, at least he's getting it out of the way now, my friends hubby is 35 and just started his rebellion it seems.
((hugs for tia)) sounds like you're on a bit of a 'one of those days' hope you get somewhere with the suite thing, that sounds a nightmare. No I haven't tried to use the DS card things yet haven't had time so they are still in the envelope but will get round to it
Getting snottier so my get up and go is flagging a bit, I now have boxes, one for kids crap, one for paperwork and one for OU stuff, hen 2 bins one for recycling and one for rubbish set up, I should really start filling them more from the downstairs tipOne day I might be more organised...........
