Evening everyone, I am gonna try and start this from tomorrow, need to get in a routine as this house looks like a bombs hit it, its disgusting, made a start today with some polishing and hoovering, but this plan will make sure each room gets touched at least once a week, even if just a basic clean, much better than what it sees now.

    Rock on tomorrow. SM x
Glad you have decided to jump in - pigpens lists are great for helping withthe routine and each room comes up every week so what you dont achieve this week you will catch next and it gets easier each time - dont go mad at the beginning as you will regret it and be too knackered to do more the rest of the week - better to aim to do at least level 1 and bits of the others every day and build from there.

    Welcome to the madhouse

I'm in too, though not quite sure how I'll manage it. Like Nicki I need to work out how to get some of it done during the week so I don't end up trying to do it all at the weekend!

Ooh ooh so am I! Where are you sitting? I'll wave!

Toochoosey - now I am interested...when did this flylady idea start here ...and how... Have you found out yet?

I've just seen Pigpen's shoes...no wonder she fell over!

(Bet she e-bays her tickets now so she doesn't bump into anyone who has made laundry organisation a lifestyle choice:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

It's OK, I'll keep clear of anyone who looks as if they've been ironed :p I'm going to see Lord of the Flies in Winchester, so I expect I'll have nightmares afterwards. I'm not sure why I'm going. I hate ALL William Golding's writing. Oh yes, I know, because I was invited and thought I'd better not spend another evening at home catching up on work HStype.gif

Pigpen - Little tip... 4 inch heels... get the lift ;)

    Woohoo

Grass is cut, mower cleaned and put away.
I have also cut back the overgrown bushes and trees, my brown recycle garden bin is now full, so I had to stop!!

Loads my tomtom up with tomorrows visits.

Now going to do the ironing

Can you please hand back my motivation? I've been looking for it everywhere, and it appears to have nipped round to your house for the weekend :D
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I did that before I came on here - SOOOO glad I found this instead... The reminders and ads to sell stuff drove me MAD! good idea, just soooo american it was unreal... and I think I shined my sink before bedtime for the first week only.... it is clean all the time now, although I don't get stressed if it's not as I felt like a failure if I didn't do it on their programme, also, getting dressed to your shoes??? ... You're lucky if I'm out of my dressing gown when I work from home... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

And LACE UP shoes at that? I mean, who wears lace up shoes??? I wouldn't wear them in public, so why would I wear them in my own home? rofl.gifI know what you mean about working from home... work keep on having bright ideas about webcams & video-conferencing for homeworking
Your such a good source of information on all this Greenbee... I really want to be green, and do a few things, but all the info out there is quite confusing and really expensive sometimes and other times I feel that people say stuff is green when it's not really, just coz they want to get on the bandwagon, so which puts me off... so thanks for all your wonderful info, it is appreciated...:T :T :T

Yup, it's a whole new industry. Don't fall for the hype. If you're confused, drop me a line and I'll let you know. I read the ingredients on things, and trust me, if it's got propylene glycol, any parabens, any ethyl anything in it, it ain't natural. I find it saves me money, as I can't buy most things! Sites such as naturalcollection, soorganic, ethicalsuperstore etc., are good. If you want more sources, PM me, and I'll give you some book titles etc.

A candle is fine - it's the naked flame that does it. I leave on the windowsill in the loo when I have visitors, just in case!

I like gin, me. And it doesn't have any Triker like ill effects...cos it's distillate not residue...

And apart from all that, fat cat still smells, and thin cat has come home with a funny lump on his head - grey/green in colour, the size of a large bean, and just behind his ear. Attached - looks a bit like a blood blister. No idea what that is, so hopefully not a trip to the vet but i had best keep my eyes on it anyway.

Night for now anyway, see you all nice and early,

It's a tick. Get rid of it before it drops of and attaches itself to someone else. DO NOT pull it off as it'll leave its head behind and get infected. Soak some cotton wool in meths, gin or nail polish remover (the latter is not nice for the cat) and it should fall off.
