Ok, here goes my first plan of action.........going to jump in with both feet and go for all three levels. Methinks I may then have to end the day with a large drinky..but it will be worth it to make a decent dent in the housework.

    Count me in too please!

sarah shattered, I love your bling too, and liked the cost per wear justification
GnB - dress is lovely, I just wish i had the legs for something like that
Hippy110 - that sounds a bit scary with the extensions.
Nicky - sounds like the energy monitor thing is a good investment then? I thought your models were great.
tia - hugs, must have been scary for you. Hope he feels better today
poffigirl and skintmummy - welcome to the thread
pigpen - has zoflora made it onto your list yet? - cheap, very smelly but no good with animals. I use it a lot for damp dusting and washing walls etc upstairs where none of the pets go.

I agreed DSs could have a halloween party so I am on countdown clean for that plus trying to get the garden straight. I did 8 hours on the garden today and about 30 minutes on the house. Garden looks a lot better and it was lovely to be too hot for a change. It will be the boys first ever party as DS1 didn't like the idea before so looking forward to it even if I haven't a clue what to do yet. Might have a trot around Mr. T tomorrow for inspiration.

    Welcome to the newbies

My bruises have come out beautifully and DH is feeling suitably bad when he sees them (i'd asked him to trunk the extension lead for months). Not sure who you mean when you say I didn't mention DH, DD or DS....is there more things in my life than Poppy pudding? :D xx

  • poffigirl - you are very welcome here and dont beat yourself up - having 2 little ones is a job and half in itself - not that i would know as i dont have any but I am in awe of the ladies on here with children and what they acheive so you will be fine - just take it gentley - baby steps - my favourite saying comes next - it didnt get in a mess overnight so dont expect it to get tidy overnight!! the rooms come round every week so what you dont manage this week you can catch next. I am sure the other flymums will help you more than I can - but enjoy your litleys they soon grow up.

hippy you poor thing - what a fright when that cold water hit you - you are lucky you didnt fall through the ceiling - be careful with your electrics - hope the plumber gets it sorted for you and things dry our quickly.

To quote the Zoflora website: When correctly diluted Zoflora may be used where pets are kept. It will kill bacteria and eliminate unpleasant odours. Do not allow pets to lick or walk on wet or treated surfaces. Keep them off until dry.

Someone brought it up last time it was recommended on here which is the only reason I know. So no to bathing the smelly dogs in it then? :o I use it to scrub out the plastic dog beds but I don't let them back in till it is dry.

I'm in as was hoping for a good day of striking off today so could do minimal this week but such an innocuous line in that list has put paid to that, OMG the fun –

Boiler in loft so went up armed with bucket as instructed by plumber (plus phone in case I needed Dad for assistance) and followed his instructions, result -

me taking the full force of cold water at full pressure from the inlet pipe, couldn’t get pipe back on because of the force of the water, couldn’t catch the water in the bucket because it was horizontal and couldn’t try to phone and stop water at the same time

stopped it when my brain started working again and I realised the valve must have been open rather than shut (as it should be) when I unscrewed the pipe, mopped up as best I could with a bath sheet that lives up there, didn’t dare phone Dad :o , came down to huge pools of water on the kitchen floor but thankfully the ceiling is in tact – water came through the downlighters – switched off the power as there had been a lot of water aimed at those lights, stood there shaking and in shock

thought everything was under control - had been to parents and borrowed heaters and they are drying out the loft which was doing fine, had just kept the kitchen lights circuit off at the mains. Just noticed laptop was running on battery and found all the sockets have blown – possibly result of 4kw of heaters from one socket  Flicked the rcd switch and blew again so now I have one light circuit working and nothing else, time to phone OH again

Right power on again, it was the heaters, the extension lead has melted :o , one heater on temporarily then it fused the replacement extension, now onto extension lead three, one heater again and fingers crossed

Think very soon that chocolate cupboard is going to be severely depleted :rotfl:

This saga has been going on now for over 3 hours so nothing else achieved from my list in that time, have just texted plumber then he doesn’t need to laugh to my face when I see him tomorrow afternoon, hope he'll be able to come round tomorrow night

    I'm sorry Hippy but :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You certainly have had an interesting day. Here have some of this (throws Hippy a piece of DS chocolate hedgepig cake) Enjoy;) You deserve it today!!
