I think a duster might be a good idea! She does try to help with the dishwasher which is scaryFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Morning all
jjef hope the day goes OK for you.
Two loads of washing on the line sulking, it's very mild but no sun.
I've done the kitchen, all except going through drawers but I did do inside the fridge and all the small and big appliances.
Damp wiped living room and computer desk (in hallway) and vacuumed right through downstairs.
Peeled spuds for dinner.
Ordered a couple more Christmas presents online. I think it's only money I need now to give out - "only money" !!!0 -
Hi all, gawd, it's monday already.....right count me in, need some ORDER to the CHAOS.
I changed the bedding and cleaned the bathroom last night, does that count.
High drama on sat night, eldest DD went to the fair, 2 hours later a complete stranger (man) rang my OH to ask if we could come and get her as he and his wife had found her wandering around disorientated and crying and being sick!!!!
Turns out she'd had 'something' to drink with her so called friend and it had caused her to be
1. extremely drunk
2. extremely sick
don't think going on the waltzers helped either.
Not sure if she was spiked but OH reckons v.v. drunk on a so called sheeeet mix with an 'i'.......whatever that is!!!
Anyway drama over we picked her up, got her to bed, grounded 2 weeks and no tv for a week and a strong talking to, she's apologised profusely and says it won't happen again. Better not, I nearly had a heart attack through worry.
Humph teenagers.
Anyway be back laters, gotta do the work thang.:D xxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Sounds like a few need food and bed this morning.
Only if you'll take DS2 to A&E for me??
He stubbed his big toe last night and I think it might well be broken.. It took nearly 2 hours to stop it bleeding!! Can't quite decide if I should wait for him to get home from school and take him or if I should take him this afternoon.. I've just answered that question while typing.. there are no docs in paed A&E until after 2pm because apparently they wait until there are more than 5 people waiting before they call the doc in.. so it would be pointless.. I'll see if I can get him in to the GP later maybe..
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: And you sent him to school:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I think TBH pigpen if it was broken there's no way he would have been able to walk on it this morning.
My DS stubbed his little toe on the door frame last year. Well he ran into it actually. I've never seen brusing like it. He was off school for a week cos he couldn't walk on it at all. Wasn't broken though.0 -
Triker.. see.. leading by example.. BAD example!.. At least this person was kind enough to ring you and have you come get her.. did they wait with her until you got there??? It doesn't bear thinking about what COULD have happened.. honestly though you think they get better as they get older not blooming worse!!! I am so glad she is home and safe though.. she wouldn't have done it on purpose she isn't THAT daft.. (compared to mine that split his head open headbutting a wall!!!!) .. Are you skiving today... well yeah... he did come and ask if he could stay home though before he left said his shoes were hurting.. I'll ring school in a bit and make sure he is ok but a hurt toe does not affect your ability to learn.. mine have to be dead to get a day off... or vomitting... He is hobbling about on his heel with his toes in the air.
IT is all taped up and TBH that is all the hospital would do if it was broken.
We are made of stern stuff up here.. lol.. I have broken toes a couple of times and carried on as normal.. as have a couple of my sisters and my mother..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hiya hun, awww you laddo ok or is he in mega pain. Poor sausage.
I'm not going to dwell on what happened/could have on sat night, OH and me were so upset........but then at least we care. Actually I was more calm than OH he panicked like mad. If 'anything' had have happened to her, well lets say we'd probably be in court today...bit maternal/paternal and all that.
Do you need a lift to A and E hun, no probs ring me if so. xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

you certainly keep yourself busy - and i think that's far more important than cleaning
I agree. I was away for a couple of days last week at my brother's wedding. When I got back my DH said how easy it was to be a stay-at-home dad! He actually hadn't done anything! He might have pushed a vac round, but nothing else. I had left meals ready for him to warm up (even measured out the rice and pasta for both days with instructions on how to cook them!). He didn't do any washing because I had told him I would do it all when I got back (made sure the children had enough uniform to last them. I didn't want him shoving everything in the dryer as some things I don't put in because they might shrink).re xmas: it doesn't have to be expensive!! it's the thoughts that count!
no presents for grown-ups! (they can buy themselves if they need/want something) - and rather have a nice meet up somewhere and a good time with each other!
or make a party at your house and tell everyone to bring some food - so the cost will be spread!
you can do it!!! :j
We only buy presents for the children anyway - and it's that I'm worried about! Christmas at ours is just one day - I can't be doing with the long drawn out fandango it's become over the past few years. I'd happily put the tree up on Christmas Eve and take it down on Boxing Day if I had my way :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Parties!!! :eek::eek::eek: I don't do parties. :eek::eek::eek:0 -
In my HHC I -
Sorted out some of the ironing.
Moved the TV that's packed up in our room, off of the little chest of drawers. Put said little chest of drawers into DS room. Hoovered where they'd been.
Dragged big chest of drawers from DS room to my room (all on my own).
Got in the loft and brought down old TV that works.
Went through DH sock and knickers. Got rid of all the Sunday bits, and put everything neatly into the new drawers.
And connected up the TV, so I now have entertainment again whilst ironing:D
Hungry now. Off to have breakfast.0
