Congratulations - a very productive morning. If you need some more to do, come round to mine as it hasn't been started yet!

Not really, it was pretty clean in there for a change and coz I was up early and worried about falling back to sleep before getting DS up, I thought I should do something, plus there was no-one on here to chat to or I wouldn't have done much at all (like now! :) ), hence the Christmas lists coz they were already made out from last year, just had to check, add & delete some then print out.

Must admit, without flying last week, the kitchen definitely wouldn't have been that easy... :)

I don't mind doing other peoples housework, sad really, but I find it easier - don't have a clue why, think it's coz I can put stuff off for myself and I just get on with it at others...

It's damp and dreary here today and the day has started thus -

Puppy has already stolen DD slippers and has shredded them at the bottom of the garden

I have not only failed to dry DS school trousers properly. I have ironed them (to try and dry them a bit more) and I now have half their contents all over the bottom of the iron. Got to wait for it to cool down and scrub it before I can iron DD white school shirt:rolleyes:
That coupled with a house that's in a OMG where do I start state:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I fear today may be rather testing:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I'm dreading it this year. I have no money and can't see any way in the next few weeks of being able to afford Christmas this year :(

I haven't posted on this thread since before the summer hols!!! Not that I've let the house go to rack and ruin. So I'm in this week Don't know about the change one thing a week thingy though. Mind you I did start yoga a couple of weeks ago, and on Saturday I started a patchwork course (which I think I could get addicted to - I can envisage everything in the house being patchwork. Oh the possibilities :rotfl:)

    Nobody missed me then? No, didn't think so . . . . .

I've been and looked at this... I don't think we're in the same position, as although at times there can be a certain amount of chat it does generally (possibly rather sadly!) revolve around some aspect of housework... even if it is the finer points of washing-line etiquette! Part of the reason for the length of the thread is the number of people involved and the fact that if someone has a question there are lots of opinions - and if someone volunteers information it may start debate.

Talking of which, Pigpen - I assume your cleaning products spreadsheet is going to have something on it about costs as well as effeciency/effectiveness? And are you doing a greenness rating too?!

    Morning all

I think a lot of us were in bed too late last night:rolleyes: i definetely was, i'm so tired now.

I've decided to get back on my diet as i'm sure thats why i've been so depressed lately. If i eat carp i feel carp. I've only been off it 2 weeks and i've put on 4lbs:eek: .

    Today i have

    Made the beds
    Collected the laundry
    Done the school run
    Umm thats it

I suppose i'd better get on with it. I need to get the washing off the line i left out yesterday as it looks like rain, so i'll have to find somewhere to dry that before i do anymore washing.

    Welcome back Justamum

Hugs to jjef, it'll be 9 years December since my Mum died and although it never goes away completely it does get easier with time.

Hi Jjef, Hugs to you and I hope you manage to get through today OK, lost my Dad 15 years ago (DS was only 6 mths old) and still find it hard, but it does get easier to bear and the memories make me happy now rather than making me sad... (most of the time...;) )

As for being checked out, we do chat a lot on here, but, and please correct me if I'm wrong, I think it's part of this challenge - it makes it friendly and gives us encouragement - we all have bad days and everyone on here - new and old - gives you a hug for it, plus it lets me see others who are in my position and that we can cope together.

When I'm working (like this week, I will be away Wed, Thur & Fri), I am not always able to catch up, but I never feel I have missed anything, so I really hope they don't.

It's just happened with the GC, and I know that did need it, as people need to be able to keep up coz of the hints and tips, but it has made it much less friendly and not so inviting IYSWIM - when it's something like housework getting you down and depressed (and it really can make people depressed can't it), you need friends like on here to pick you up and a good chat... plus most of the stuff on here are long posts because we put our lists on (each one must be equal to about 4 posts in length once we get into the week...)

Sorry, ramble alert should have been on again, tend to write as I think instead of thinking BEFORE I write... (do the same when I'm talking... :rotfl: )

See, knew someone would put it better than me (is this a debate now?) and in less words... clap1.gif

Ooh, I can't wait to see this list - I bet you have a field day Pigpen...
