Night everyone - I'm off to my bed too so I can be wide awake for some flying tomorrow  Gonna read for a bit if I can decide on a book!

However in defence of teachers...'they' expect primary teachers to be up to date with ICT skills , applications etc but of course we are outside the world of work and not up to date with developments. Add in the 'poor' funding (unlike industry where new stuff comes in all the time. often with training) and you can see why teachers struggle.

If it is any consolation, I have always worked in small firms and my first formal teaching on Excel was a year ago by which time I'd used it for c15 years (after we switched from Supercalc - remember that!!) and even then it was just a 3 hour course but learnt loads of really useful snippets. And much as I love pivot tables I just can't see Stardrops on one!
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
