JustaMum hugs hope you are ok

greenbee do you not have a camera on your phone? I didn't think they made them without them anymore.

toochoosey thanks for the reminder, need to start the dog on some herbal calmer things see if that helps him this year, just the male whos bad but made it worse last year when I was about to open the door and one hit it.

Valli in a report done on some school toilet issues, harsh paper was still used in some boys loos!

Got here about 8pm, lady next doors caravan has gone, bit worried sas she's in her 70s, she had my number incase she needed anything bringing up when I came but I don't have hers. She was supposed to leave here on the 1st same as us and didn't mention anything last weekend when I said I'd see her Friday....

Speaking of crashes was told something yesterday which made me feel ill. Company someone I know owns, one of his staff hit someone in their car, the poor lad died. Anyway insurance company turned round and said 'well at least he was killed and not left disabled because that's more expensive and we're cancelling your policy' he'd been with them for years, made me feel very angry as to how 'just business' some 'humans' can be.

Hmmm I was sure the forecast was for OK weather and now it's raining, bum, I don't know if I have a waterproof coat for me.....
One day I might be more organised...........

Yes... but no way of getting it on to the PC, as it's a work one and I can't connect my personal phone to it

They do still make phones without cameras... our work phones and our blackberries are all models without them. Special business ones!

Nasty insurance story... I seem to remember when the AA did something like that they got huge amounts of negative publicity. I hope your friend goes to the papers.

Hope you neighbour is OK... and that the weather improves.

Just flitting through before I go to bed. I am so tired today!

I've been busy though, did the weekly shop, cleaned the bathroom, fitted in a bit of taxi duty for assorted offspring, went downtown to move money around, and a little bit of shopping, then supervised DS1 making choc chip cookies and lasagne - which was delicious! Even though he only put half the sugar into the cookies - teach him to read recipes properly! I'm toying with teaching him sausage casserole next Friday.

I then spent most of the evening doing the lesson planning I should have done Wednesday, and sending it off to head of faculty.

I'm off to London tomorrow with DD, really looking forward to it, National Portrait Gallery in the morning, then as many shops as she can manage to drag me round before I collapse, or am bankrupt.

Hugs to triker, for your tough week, and also to flower (but very gently!).

    Fantastic news Dusty!

    Must go....zzzzzzz

Valli - PM'd you re. the finer points of Pigpen's cleaning materials list. It really depends on how keen you are to perfect your Excel skills ;)
    It hasn't arrived...?

always keen - ask me a question about it and I come home and 'mess' until I sort it...I am still glowing from sorting out conditional formatting this summer for a colleague..
My fave phrase is 'leave it with me' I am tenacious like a Jack Russel after a rat. I LOVE a challenge.
However in defence of teachers...'they' expect primary teachers to be up to date with ICT skills , applications etc but of course we are outside the world of work and not up to date with developments. Add in the 'poor' funding (unlike industry where new stuff comes in all the time. often with training) and you can see why teachers struggle. Unless you have an attitude like mine it is not easy to develop new ICT skills and an understanding of what is current. And I always say that there is stuff I need to learn - and share that with the children...so sometimes we learn together...
That's why we now teach skills ...like how to find things out...gets off soapbox and gives it back to Supergirl***shudders***don't like heights...scared of falling ***shudder***
