The house is nice. I thought it was going to like the one we looked at on that estate but it isn't. Will definitely have to come for a nosy, I mean a visit when you move.0

Quite a busy day today. Need to get everywhere clean and tidy for tomorrow - it's Tom's birthday and people are coming for tea. Where did that time go? I'm not keen on January birthdays; they happen too quickly after Christmas. It was my sister's birthday yesterday, my Mam's birthday today and Tom's tomorrow.
So I need to get clean and tidy, do all my planning for work so I don't have to do it tomorrow, take my Mam's present over and OH is itching to get down the allotment (or the blood-y allotment as I think of it in my head) plus I'd quite like to get a couple of DooYoo reviews done (I think I love that site!)
Not sure why I'm sitting here telling you what I want to do instead of doing it though. If I were as good at getting on as I am at procrastinating. Hmm...best go check the scratchcards next...0 -
Hmm... mixed day in terms of being successful at what I wanted to do. I have half planned my lessons for the week; it will probably take about another hour tomorrow to get finished. I have also half tidied and cleaned the house - one of those situations where tidying one place makes everywhere else twice as bad. OH did get his time in the allotment though; however he said it was too wet to dig so he just "pottered around in the shed" which I'll take as meaning he just wanted an hour's peace!
I have, however, got the living room pretty much tidy, if not completely clean (need to do the windows tomorrow) even though the kitchen looks like a bomb has hit. I have moved all the furniture around, much to OH's annoyance. He agreed when I said we should try moving the furniture then said "What, you mean today?" No, I meant in about 2 years time, obviously!
So, the furniture is all changed round and I quite like it as we now have somewhere to hide all the garish plastic toys on an evening but OH is not so sure. I have also thrown away a binbag of rubbish from the living room and kitchen, though that's not as bad as it sounds as it's all from cupbaords and drawers, it wasn't all just lying around the place, honestly!
I have a binbag of books to freecycle, though some of them are quite new. Does anyone have any experience of Amazon? Might have to look that up! Plus, finally got around to advertising some stuff to sell in the local paper. Should that fail it should sell easily enough on ebay but I'm hoping to avoid parcelling it all up.
Also finally got around to putting up some photos of Tom and moved some shelves around so the photo albums will fit and don't just lie around on top of the bookcase looking untidy.
Tomorrow, still need to tidy and clean kitchen, stairs and bathroom, do the ironing, finish the planning, shop for ingredients for party tea, make food and hopefully write a DooYoo review seeing as I didn't get round to any today. Hmm... maybe should give going to bed a miss!0 -
That is one heck of a list. Hope you get it all done.

Lol, your welcome anytime!
Happy birthday Tom! Cant beleive they are both one (4 more days for Natasha) I love my gorgeous little girl0 -
Well, just in case we didn't have enough to do the toilet seat has broken this morning so dispatched OH off to Argos for a new one.
Tom is very much taken with his Thomas the Tank engine ride on, though he'll only push it around and open and close the seat lid; he won't sit on it.
10p and 50p from Chit Chat scratchcard and 10p from Take a Break (as usual). Still, it's 70p I didn't have yesterday and it's amazing how the Chit Chat one is adding up.
Still got everything to do. All I've done is feed, dress and play with Tom/ Not even showered yet. Had better go and get dressed as we've already had one visitor while I was in my dressing gown!0 -

My life passing too quickly too! Maybe by this time next year we will have a new house (and maybe they will find a way to make pigs fly too!)0 -
Tom's birthday went great. Got everywhere clean and tidy on time (as long as no-one looked in our bedroom) and had a lovely afternoon with lots of family and friends. Tom got loads of lovely presents and is now richer than anyone else in our house but his favourite thing was a foil balloon that OH's brother brought and he trailed it around everywhere with him.
He must have been worn out as he went to bed without a peep and was asleep in seconds!
Afterall the guests went home the house was a tip again though we've hoovered round and run the dishwasher and it's looking ok again.
Can't believe it's almost time to go to work again though...0 -
Sounds like a fantastic day - now, put your feet up and get a well deserved bottle of wine.......:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
