carla i have bought the phil and teds as i found it to be the best and we tried and tested every double on the market lol! i had my heart set on the icandy pear but when testing it out i hated it! also with the phil and teds it can also be used as a single which i think will be great when Charlie is walking!
if you have a good routine etc then you just get on with it as you have to lol! i have also found my 2 older kids 8 and nearly 7 are really close they do most things together and wont see each other do without! What's for you won't go past you0 -
If it's been baked (as in a pastry) any type of cheese should be FINE, since that will kill the bacteria which is the cause for worry ( http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/nutrition/foodsafety/cheeseexpert/ )
I've also read an article that says we're more likely to die of childbirth than to get lysteria or salmonilla and harm the baby. Here's the link:

I think that is outrageous. I can completely agree with them about changing it if it were just because it wasn't to someones taste and even that is still pushing it! But when someone legitamately can not eat it to tell them it's tough luck! I would also understand if you had turned up on the night and just said about it but you've contacted them in advance and this is the response you get! I'm with Got it spend it, I would definately contact the local paper about it! They shoudl at the very least be prepared to deduct the cost of her main course from the bill. If it were me personally I would tell them where to go and then badmouth them to every person that would listen!
Tiamai_d I'm sorry but I think you need to remember who pays these restaurants to stay in business! Without customers they would not have jobs, I would say if they carry on taking this attitude I certainly wouldn't expect them to still be in business next year! I would have some sympathy with them as I have said if they had arrived on the night and then expected something to be produced but she has been exceptionally fair and let them know in plenty of advance. I think it just shows laziness on their behalf because I wouldn't mind betting it's all bought in prepared stuff and that's why they can't offer an alternative!0 -
Bummer... I have to say that is very unfriendly of them - it's not like it's THAT big a deal to alter it a little - even if it was just to do a couple of extra veggies for her... I have to say in general I HAVE found a lot of resturants have very few "pregnant friendly" dishes... All starters seem to involve sea food (which I love but won't eat unless I am 100% certain it's fresh...), some sort of mayonaise (no resturant can tell you if the eggs used in it are pasturised *sigh*) or pate (not allowed pate when pregnant...) so I seem to survive on garlic bread if everyone else has a starter
Maincourses aren't much better... Although Pizza express are pretty good so far... And they will alter things for you if you ask nicely - guess they're used to people wanting something extra on pizza's or something taken off0 -
We sometimes order dominos online, but always always look for a code on here before we pay! Have just discovered a website called justeat.co.uk and you can order just about any takeaway in the local area and pay by card... It's making us extremely lazy though lol... (Oh and as an employee of NHS I can now get 50% discount from dominos if I collect but the nearest one is the other side of town)
