Hi Guys
I was wondering if someone could settle a discussion? Is St Agur cheese a soft cheese, is it ok to eat when pregnant about 12 weeks. The person has booked & picked a christmas meal, as doesn't eat meat or fish & this is the veggie alternative, will it be safe as it st agur & pear, in a pastry.
I've googled st agur & its showing as a pasturised soft cheese, so we are slightly confusedI know it doesn't take a lot.
Many thanks for your help in advance.

i wouldnt advise it - i was told to avoid all soft cheeses when pregnant, regardless if it was pasturised or unpasturised. hope this helps!0

. The last week or so has seen 4 molars coming thru all at once!. Bless.

I'm sure she's the perfect age to be getting them
ETA: SB just checked and said molars are usually through at 12 - 14 mths so she's perfectly normal :A
Ps sorry preggers we'll stop the parent chat now0 -
No, it's not.
It is a mould ripened cheese with blue veins. Even though it is paturised, it still has the mould isse going on.
Is it a starter or main? If it's a starter she will have to skip, if it's a main then I would consider charging her a small fee and offering an alternative (we don't often expect pregnant vegitarians who don't eat fish either). Got to balance the wanting the custom, but the menu can't be messed with at this time of year.0 -
