I'm sure they would call you back if they were concerned, Mel. My dates are slightly different on each of the scans I have had but as long as they follow the chart to a certain degree then there is no concern. Do you get chart print-outs from your scan put into your notes like I do?

No, no charts, just measurements... All three are different one says I am 20wks exactly, one says 20+1, and the other says 20+3... So none make sense really and the EDD says 06/03.

At my 20 week scan the sonographer told me that bubba was growing consitently and that he was bang on for my date. I think it is how he grows from here that will determine how big he will be.
Keely - elliot is just TOO CUTE!! I am loving your new avvy - you should update him every week

And re telling work about maternity leave (whoever it was who was asking about it... sorry!) you can change your mind after you initially tell them. You're meant to give them 28 days notice before you want to go, but if you don't, they have to accept it anyway if you have a good reason.
If I were you, I'd pick a date (say a month before baby comes - I've gone for 3 weeks, but I think that might be wishful thinking for me!) and just tell them that's when it's going to start. If they are pushing you to say how long you will be off for, tell them the whole year - I'm sure they will let you come back earlier, but you have to give them 28 days notice before you come back if you're coming back earlier than the month.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Hi all,
Just updated my edd after 12 week scan this mornin, 70.7mm.
Bubs was moving like crazy, not looking forward to when I can feel it:p0 -

Dont worry, I had a low lying placenta.. they said it would move but I was worried. Went for a scan at 34 weeks & it had completely moved. You'd be surprised how much they move as your uterus gets bigger. Mine is halfway up the front of my bump now under my bellybutton.
Congrats jpwhittle! Evie is a beautiful name. I've been watching a programme on tv recently with a girl called this in but its spelt Yvie which I thought was nice.
Well I'm 6 days over now.. totally fed up but at least I'll have a date for induction tomorrow. Come on baby! I wanna meet you now!

sorry for pinching everyones name lol. we choose evie cos we thought it was different to and it sounded nice with noah my eldest. if i hadnt already told everyone which spelling it was though i think i might have gone for yvie. saw it on the x factor and loved it and think it looks grown up when they are older. but everything is already with an e. plus i still love it that way to.
sure you will all have different middle names to lol.
good luck everyone.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -

Also MFD, after me saying they haven't changed due date, I am now confused as when I asked if baby was ok size for weeks...she said yes, but in my notes they have put EDD down as 06/03 which is pretty much the same as my due date by LMP, before they changed it at my 10wk scan to 12/03...I am very confused, anyway I have my next midwife app on 05/11 so will clarify it all then.

Hi Mel
I have the same thing going on. I'm going for my 36 week placenta check scan on friday so am preying it's moved up too. But my midwife also said that the vast majority do move. I was told if it hadn't that i would have to be admitted into the hospital there and then on friday until I have a c section at 39 weeks. Stuff that, I can't stay in for weeks, I have a handicapped child to care for who just won't cope with me being gone that long. So, they'll either have to accept that I will do the bed rest thing at home or take me in a bit earlier and c section there and then.
But, do try not to worry, I did at first but as the weeks have gone slowly by I am less worried now. I'll just cross the bridges if and when I get to them.:A
