Morning ladies. Finally slept through a full night for the first time in months :)

Back's a bit tight this morning but nothing a few yoga stretches won't fix so feeling relatively good today :j

I got my pee pot back too but she had emptied and washed it for me. Apparently so long as your wee is clear they can do this but if you have something in it they can't. Glad to see them considering the environment a little :)

My MW gave mine back too - which I thought was a little odd and she sniffily said to me that round here we recycle... empty it at home and then rinse it out with boiling water and re-use it... well super... How the heck people are supposed to guess that tho I don't know - she wouldn't have told me either if I hadn't asked her!
Oh well another day... I'm now starting to actively loathe my job  this is a bit new to me in all honesty, but it's just getting to the point where I don't want to be there but I'm "trapped" at least until after my maternity leave... bummer...

    morning girls,

sorry for the crappy post but i am sat here at work in tears. i hate the place at the moment. my six months maternity leave is looking damn attractive (considering i was fretting about it yesterday).

completely on my own in the office today, which isn't anything out of the ordinary, but i also have to manage to sort out things for two other members of staff when i have a pile of my own work to do. admittedly one is off sick had as been all week, but then i have been bunged up with this flu and needing the loo rather frequently (wont go into any more details) but i've been here every day feeling like pants.

sorry just feeling sorry for myself.

on the wee sample matter - i was told at my booking in appt because of the NHS, you only get one sample pot. For the first time last week my pot was given back to me with my sample still in it (odd i thought), and that was when i had the ketones in my wee.

Hope everyone is looking forward to a brighter day than mine.

I did pop into Sainsburys this morning and bought two packs of the Johnson wipes whcih were £2.50 each (4 packs of 72 wipes), some cotton buttons and Johnson baby bathtime bubble stuff (not sure if this will be for me or bubs). Didnt have any sudacream which is what i really wanted to get.

AM - good luck with your scan. glad your mum is going with you.

    xxx

Lucifa - I also had the first decent sleep I've had in ages last night :D

Krystaltips - I also watched growing babies on BBC 4. I found it really interesting, but my OH reacted the same as yours!

MFD - hope that you are Ok after your fall. Look afteryourself, especially as you sound like you have caught that cold :(

I'm off to my MW appointment in about 1/2 hour. Got a few questions so hopefully she'll be in a chatty mood! (I always have questions!). We don't have to recycle our sample pots here - but then that's prob why they can't afford to give us two scans!!!

AF I can totally sympathise... in our department there is the "boss", me and one other person who does roughly the same as me and a guy who's supposed to be a step below us. There should be 4 people doing what I do, not 2! so we have far more accounts than we should have and with my boss regularly off poorly and the guy below me off on holiday today it feels like there is no winning... add to that every time I work from home I know if HR find out I'll get hassle but there is no need to put myself through feeling sick and unwell to get to the office as there's not actually anyone else in and I can do what needs doing from home without feeling sick.
Then there is the fact that my equivalent gets paid a lot more than me because his original job paid more and when 2 companies merged they offered him this job but couldn't for legal reasons offer him less money... But I still get the worst client... would have thought someone "technically" senior to me should have the biggest and most important client wouldn't you? ;)

Oh well... 4 1/2 months to go!

Sorry everyone is feeling pants. I'm counting the weeks to maternity leave too - about 6 to go I think and one of them is Xmas week so I'm off anyway:D

I got a proper telling off from the midwife yesterday. My back has been sore on and off for ages and I could hardly move yesterady so finally told her about it and I got a 15 minute lecture on how my health is the most important priority at this stage and to take things easier:o . I can't even get all indignant and tell anyone she's wrong as she's bang on the money but I just hate feeling I'm letting people down:o

  • Morning ladies!

Went to see the new 'lady' doc. She is about 12, which I don't mind so much, I realise I am getting older  but what really upset me was that she hadn't washed or brushed her hair...just stuck it in a ponytail (a bad effort at that). I am glad she didn't have to touch me

So I am a little anaemic - count of 11.2 when it should be over 11.5  so nothing too much. She looked it up in a book forever (again - I don't mind that, but it meant that I had to look at her hair :o ). Doc says take it easy and gace me a script for iron and folic acid. Warned about constipation, increase fibre intake. Talked to her about being a bit vacant and wobbly, she said it was most prob related to the iron. See how I go. So today I am working from home...driving up the M6 for 30 mins doesn't seem like the best option when I am struggling to concentrate.

Looks like I have been lucky with not having to take my wee home before now. Will wash out with boiling water and re-use next Wed when I go to midwife.

And my tip for the day is...

....if you are tempted to have a double portion of Oats-so-simple porridge (because baby needs it ;) ) then doubling the quantities and microwaving for double the time = porridge all over the microwave :o

Good luck for all appointments and scans today :D
