Ya know, I hadn't even looked at the sizes! Have now, and nope, no 6s. I won't tell you my bra size, but, despite being a size six frame, I fill out a size ten top rather well usually so maybe at least I can get some cheaper tops in more regular sizes when the time comes.
I'm really hoping I can keep the weight on that I put on whilst being pregnant. I know we joke, but it really isn't that much fun being this size and not being able to find much to fit..I wanna be a decent 8-10 at least and be able to pick up anything in any store and it fits *dreams*
that used to be me, I loved that the girls in my office were mostly 12/14 and dead jealous of my skinny tum and decent sized boobsnow I hate shopping coz stuff in the "cool" shops like topshop won't go over my now shapely hips
oh and btw hubby may have been cleaning but just refused my thank you hug so stuff him, no guilt for me :A0 -
thanks SB i just think i will be happier at home and when its all done and MW goes i can get some sleep as at hosp i wandered around not being able to sleep.
3onitsway i had the same image lol! thats a shame as it was such a long time ago you would think they would let you do it the way you want???
elle i have some spare weight if you want it lol! doesnt help with me having a crunchie and see food addiction not to mention the last pregnacy weight i have still not lost! What's for you won't go past you0 -

Not actually sure if i'd want a home birth if I was able to anyway - I'd like to think the doctors are on hand if needed!
I had VBAC with DD(8), so I know I can do it!!! But just as I was about to have her, i decided i NEEDED an epidural, RIGHT NOW!!!! Obviously, it was too late and i'm glad I did without - but I think i need to know I have the choice IYKWIM!:beer:0 -
yeah know what you mean! i got given diamorphine with 1st and hated it but i think it was because i was given it and had said no. obviously OH and MW knew better:O and i threw up non stop. with every other labour i have had gas and air or nothing, i make sure that i am only going to be given something if i ask and not because they think i should have it.What's for you won't go past you0

morning ladies,
how are we all?
thanks for the homebirth story Toto, as another poster said (forgive me for not remembering your name) it is food for thought. I would like to have a HB as i am not a fan of hospitals in any way but I think as I am having my first, I would feel too nervous about being at home.
AM - i have had appointments: booking in at 8 weeks; scan at 12 weeks; MW at 16 to check bloods and heartbeat; 20 week scan (at 19ish really); 20 week consultant; 25 week MW (tomorrow); 28 weeks (bloods i think); 34 weeks scan and then consultant (check size of bubs); then quite regular i think after 36 weeks.
I am bunged up with this cold and sore throat and the dashing to the loo every five minutes which is not good. Something went strange with my alarm this morning so i overslept and had to get the bus full of school kids (god i feel sooooooooooo old at 30 when there are school kids around).
Hmmm... and have to go out of lunch today to start buying god knows what for hubby's birthday next week

Oh, AF, I forgot to mention last night that I asked the sonograper about the cord and she said she could clearly see it leading into the placenta from baby's tum. She said it does depend on how baby is lying as to what they can see so problems are not always noticed.

Oh thanks for asking SB that was really kind of you.
I do remember at my 20 week scan that the sonographer pointed out the cord and the placenta and at that time all was in place, but i was more worried about later on.
But like you i have a 34 week scan so maybe i can ask then (if i am brave enough) how it is lying.
I am sure this fear will pass and i'll find a new one to worry about, in fact i am sure0 -
Anyway - i had my 28 week appt. last week, and that was the first time they'd mention the birth options.
I'm not allowed a home birth - because of emergency c-section with DS (11).
My options are the normal hospital route - with all drugs available, or the midwife led unit.
I'm fancying the midwife led unit - but they only have 3 rooms, one of which has the birthing pool. What if its busy?
I really quite fancy using the pool - i've been having loads of long baths to ease my hip pain, and always found a nice bath helped with period pain.
Also, its attached to the hospital should anything go wrong!
Apparently another MSE memeber has told me there is a really nice one near where I live, be better than thelocal hospital :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
