is the fertility moniter worth the price or am i just as well off spending £1.99 on a bbt thermometer?0
-
emmzy, if I were you I would get the bbt thermometer and use it with ebay cheapy OPKs, if that starts to do your head in get a monitor off ebay. Thats the most MSE way- use the OPKs to get your surge day and work your bding magic
but only by temping can you confirm that you actually ovulated.
Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0 -
Thanks MadMac,
I just spent £20 on them in Boots today! how annoying!
Emmzy it really depends on what you want to do. I think they are brilliant and I find it really easy. I did temping for a while but that will only show when you've ov'd. obviously that's fine if you ov on same day then you know each month when to bd. I found temping a pain after a while as you have to really do it for the whole month, cbfm usually only requires 10 tests and predicts ov which is great if ov varies. mine has been as early as cd14 and as late as cd22 so quite a big difference.0 -
Hi Emmzy, I would say stick with the OV test sticks and basal temp thermometer for a while - I think only us desperate ladies who have been TTC for quite a while eventually turn to the ClearBlue monitor in the hope it will help!0

I already have the cheap ebay tests and I have a pretty good idea when to be BDing. Although Iv considered temping I cant even open my eyes first thing in the morning without a ciggy ( Im in the middle of quitting before someone nags:P) so dont think I fancy the idea of having to put a cold thermometer up there before I get a smoke lol.
I just cant seem to justify spending that much on something that does the same job as the ebay sticks really...
Did any of you ever imagine any of this carry on when you decided having a baby was a good idea? cos I certainly didnt!!:( I remember how excited I was when we took that first steps BDing without a (sorry for my poor choice of words but i saw this on the CSI and it amused me) Love Glove LOL
Anyway time to drag my now miserable self to bed I think Night Night0 -
Becs, how about getting some delivered from Amazon (on free super saver option) and then returning the Amazon pack to Boots and getting it refunded? Very MSE!0

Night Emmzy, no I never imagined it would be this difficult to conceive - figured everybody else just blinks and falls pregnant and I would be the same...:rolleyes:0

Hey guys, I am back from Cyprus, I am reading through all the pages at the minute, there is soooooo many lol you have all been talking loads!
Well I am very happy to say I got my BFP when I was on holiday YAY
I was due AF on the thursday the 2nd (I actually think I would have had AF on the Sat the 4th cos I think I ovulated late) I tested on Monday 29th June and Tues the 30th June and got BFN.
Then from Wed I got faint BFP's using ebay cheapies, then I used a Sainsburys own brand on Monday 6th and that was a def BFP as well
I cant believe it! I did another ebay test this morning just to make sure lol, and its still a BFP lol
OH wants me to do a clear blue digital when the shop opens at 10, then I really need to stop POAS lol
