Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing ok today. Some of you may remember me as I was on here about a year ago as my fiance and I are TTC. Well I cam off the pill in April 08 and I'm going to the dr this afternoon as I still haven't had that BFP.

It's not so much that which is worrying me, more so that I don;t think I've ovulated in the whole time. I have had really long cycles (mainly 50-70 days but with one 90ish and one 30ish), and I've been keeping an eye on my CM which has never resembled egg whites in the whole time I've been checking.

We are getting married in September this year but the planning has been fun not stressful, and we both feel that we didn't mind if it wasn't until ater the wedding that I became pregnant but we wouldn't take any precuations as we wouldn't mind if it was before either!!

Anyway, I'm just getting a bit nervous now due to the lack of OV, and I'm scared my dr will just brush off my worries (i have had bad expereinces with dr's in the past for unrelated matters).

So we are going together and hopefully somehting may be done!

Anyone got any ideas what the dr might do / say?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are both 26 years old.

Thanks so much and sorry for long post!

    Sarah

    Hey Sarah,

    Congrats on the wedding :)

Regards doctors, I would think the first thing they'll do is try to deal with the long periods - take bloods first then potentially check for polycystic ovaries (or at least, that's what they did with me!). Don't worry too much, I was in such a panic when I had to go but they're actually ok :) xx

Evansangel that's really exciting! We were at 100 days yesterday and it was exciting, also the first thing we both said at midnight on NYE was "we're getting married this year!" I hope you enjoy the next year of planning as much as we are! It's so much fun!

Gymfriend, thanks! And so long as they do something I'll be happy, I just really don't want to be turned away! We haven't been BDing every other day, just maybe once or twice per week as I work days and H2B works nights, and I don';t want that to be an excuse not to do anything.

Anyway I just went back over my calendar in prep for the appointment and this is my cycle since May 2008: 45 38 27 28 (at this point I'm thinking woo hoo i'm getting regular) then... 91 42 35 40 and I'm currently on 69 with no sign of anything whatsoever! I did test about 2 weeks ago just in case but that was a totally expected BFN.

    Hello everyone,

I've been lurking this thread since January, which was when we were thinking of TTC, but we delayed it until now so we could save up some money and enjoy our last holiday of just the 2 of us.

I've decided not to chart as I have a tendency to get obsessed and I'm already quite a stressed out person about everything in life, even when things are going my way. I've read that stress is a bad thing when TTC so I'm trying to chill out, have some me time, and not care about the silly things that stress me out normally :)

We're planning on bding every other day during the appropriate time, but I'm not sure when that would be.

I've just come off the pill and am planning to bd from day 10 onwards. But how many days should we do it for? The best bit is we're on hols from day 15 - so I'm hoping to be really relaxed and have some bding then.

    Baby dust to all :)

    Welcome to the thread :)

I think the average is you ov 14 days before your due your next period? and you should Bd from day 8 for a week?

I think lol I am totally new to this so I dont really know lol

    Hi :D

Oooo lots of chat going on! Am very jealous of wedding talk as I really miss not organising mine any more:rotfl:

After feeling really yuck yesterday I feel loads better today:j

CD10 and we're back on with the BDing;)

I still have quite a bit of work to do... has to be done by Sunday:eek: but I'm having a bit of a rest now because I've done quite well today. Had some unexpected money, from some jewellery that had sold, in post which was nice :)

    Chinese takeaway tonight:j
