Kenco, I would save your money on the Clearblue monitor, particularly if you are being monitored by the doctor throughout your clomid cycles. PCOS causes spikes in LH even when you are not ovulating, and ovulation kits can therefore give you misleading results (ie give the appearance that you have ovulated when you haven't, or give multiple positives at different times in the month). As the monitor will only ask you to test until you get a positive, if you got an early false positive, you'd actually miss the crucial date, and not know that you had. Added to which, they are very expensive to buy and to run.

That's not to say they aren't otherwise a good investment when trying to conceive. I got one when my PCOS was well under control after surgery, and conceived within 5 months, after 22 months of trying. Your fertility consultant will be able to advise you though about what tests, if any, are suitable for you to do at home.

Well, wouldn't you know it! Having only just considered it, I have just got back from Tesco where I managed to get a Clear Blue monitor for £24.46 and a box of test sticks for a measly £1.21! I only saw them by chance sitting behind the counter!

Have just posted this on the Grabbit board - I doubt there will be many takers for it, but if you do want one Kencokenco, definitely worth a look at any Tesco Pharmacy counter you go near!

That's a fantastic deal!! For that price I would stock up on as many boxes of sticks as you can!
