Hi all,
Bit down today as I think I'm not ov-ing this month (the sticks have shown a faint, then darker line, but not a proper dark-as-the-control line). I'm wondering if it's cos of the CP, or if maybe don't ov from both ovaries...
Anyone got experience of this? Can it be fixed if one ovary isn't working?0 -

Done some more research and found out that some people ov early/later after a CP, so I will keep doing the OPKs and see what happens... maybe the darker line the other day was a 'false surge', or maybe I caught the surge on its way down...
Just have to wait and see.
I'm not doing the 2ww thing this month - I just want to know my system is ok.

It seems like everyone is feeling a bit fed up at the moment, I am in that club with you all too. Have a pervy hug :grouphug: lol, that does make me laugh.
   Still no results from the blood test. They reckon (again) that they will chase it but this time I am to ring on Friday. Sod that I shall be calling again tomorrow, I aint having them forgetting about me!
Nicole - have you tested again yet? Sounds pretty positive already though!
I know what you all mean about living by a two week diary! I am on the 2 week ov wait (if it happens at all). Just going to keep on bding and trying not to think about it too much but a couple of people on facebook were saying about being pregnant or just having had a baby and it makes me so jealous. And I saw someone who was younger than me at school who had kids and I get even more jealous when they are younger than me.
Rant over, chins up everyone, we will all get there eventually.....

Hi, I post on the other thread, but read this one. I have done the poas ov sticks, and have never had the happy smiley bd face, but have proved that i am oving from scans at docs - so personally I am not a fan. I seem to remember someone posting at some point that these are most reliable when done in the afternoon as this is when the lh surge happens, but personnally can only go 4 hours withoutt peeing overnight not in the pm so it was no use to me!!!! Hope this helps liloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110

God your docs seem terrible....I really think you should be complaining now Rosie....surely they should have the results by nowDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
Congrats to Nicole! :j
I tend to do the POASOPK (dip test) at about 3pm, and try not to drink anything from about 1pm. Last month I was testing at 12:30pm, and did catch a surge and got a positive test on one day (obviously my advance bd planning was successful, just didn't 'take').
Hoping the following info will be helpful to OPK-ers:
Apparently (I've been reading an Endocrinology Gynae report online) the LH surge tends to start at about 3am, and that needs to be at least 14hrs long to be strong enough to be useful. So I guess it is very easy to only catch the surge on the way up, the way down, or right the way through if it lasts longer for you. Or miss it entirely.
The reason we are advised to do the POASOPKs in the afternoon is beause the surge may only show up in urine a few hours after it starts.
According to the report we tend to ovulate in the morning in the Spring, or in the evening in Autumn/Winter (I'm guessing it's afternoon for summer?)
So there you go! I hope that's useful info to someone

I know they have really annoyed me. The only problem is you can only ring for results between 1-3pm so I am at work when I try to discreetly ring. Talking in code only gets me so far and I can't really say too much at work for fear of prying ears! Actually I just remembered I can't ring today as they close for a half day today so it really will have to be Friday. I think I will be doing some serious moaning if there is no result then. I have a fairly late lunch break so I think I will call from home instead tomorrow and then I can have a proper whinge off.
Don't know whether she will pop back but congrats to Nicole as she seems to have gone from a TLP to a BFP! :T
Thanks for that useful info AnnieM!
Hope everyone is ok!
