Thanks for the congrats, i am just taking it one day at a time. Tum feels like AF is about to show though. I must admit i didn't expect it as this was our first month of trying again. So may be the theory is correct that you are more fertile after a mc or ectopic

Shelly - sorry it took me so long to respond. The Pregnacare made me feel really uncomfortable in my abdomen and I eventually gave up on them but the Boots ones (currently on 3 for 2) seem fine and include for omega-3 stuff so might be worth a go?

Kencokenco - don't worry hun, I also get a faint OV positive for a day or two before the line is dark and prominent and your CM sounds just right for around that time of your cycle! :T

Bertie1984 - yes, you can indeed OV twice in the same cycle but it is unusual and shelly is spot on. Ooh, I've become so knowledgeable since reading that blooming Toni Weschler book - highly recommended! :rotfl:

No worries. I am in town on Friday so going to go to Boots and give them a go. I am assuming they contain Folic Acid? I am running low on FA and don't want to get some until I see if the Boots tabs contain FA.

Hi Shelly, yes they are as near as I could find to the Pregnacare really - so far so good!

I'm talking about these ones BTW so I will only stock up when on 3 for 2! x

Quick update from me but I've no news really! We didn't BD in time this month and I'm now feeling mightily cranky with him, so AF is bound to be along soon! Charting going well this month, but absolutely pointless for now. Oh well, in readiness for when we give in and go to the doctor :rolleyes:

Just catching up on here (can you tell?!) and notice lots of chatter about OV tests, so will throw in my thoughts while I've got them :rolleyes:

Yes, those tests do annoy me after a while so I don't think I'll keep it up for long. It has certainly been reassuring to know when my peak time might be, but of course it doesn't really reassure me that I did OV - hence my temp charting to prove that!

I soon realised it is always best to do the OV test later in the day (after lunch about 2ish was good for me) as testing first thing is pretty useless - when you're used to pregnancy testing first thing, it takes quite some getting used to! I am now only OV testing on four days of my cycle as I know it will occur around then. The day I get a strong line I stop testing and get BDing - if OH is around, which is getting rarer...

So I might be looking for a replacement man VERY soon! :rotfl:

I am so hopeful for elastgirl, is it sounding good, keep positive and remain calm;)

I am going to try this idea that i may be more fertile straight after a mc, OH is quite excited about trying again, which is a little strange, but all very welcome:j.
I have to go the doc tomorrow to do a pg test, and then i get really move on from this, although i feel more than ok, with no hormonal fluctuations so all good for getting back to it:T

I think it is true. I conceived almost immediately after the bleeding from my mc stopped, and this one stuck. I know the doctors tell you to wait but I think that's because a) they like to be able to work out the due date from your LMP and b) they think you aren;t emotionally ready to be PG again.

I found I was VERY ready and actually kinda needed to be trying again straight away, and I fell PG so quickly I think the mc had primed my body and I was in the best position to conceive again.

So if you feel like going for it then do, the only issue is with a due date and they don;t come on time anyway do they

Sorry to jum;p in to say that but I lurk and wanted to share my experience.

Thanks for that Skintchick, i am ready to jump straight in, yes my doc asked me to wait as they then find it easier to date, but that is not a good enough reason for me or my OH, and we are def ready, so thanks for the experience It helps when people can show i am not being heartless or odd for wanting to get back to it as quickly as possible.
