  • I should also say Hello!

OH and I have been discussing whether to start trying for a baby or not for the last couple of months now.

It is such a hard decision to make as I have 18 months left to go at Uni then in an ideal world I would work and get some SMP under my belt but by the time all would be 'perfect' I would be 35 and would rather get on with it sooner rather than later.

I suppose that if it was all planned out perfectly then some of the joy (not to mention stress!!!!!) would be taken from it too though.

I wish someone had a magic wand to wave me the answer. I just feel really broody and don't know if I can cope feeling this way for at least another 2 years.

Congratulations Jenny and Helen on your BFPs.

With just over two months until we offically TTC I'm starting to freak out and I'm thinking about putting it off for a few more months. We wanted to TTC whilst in Florida as we think we will be more relaxed than at home as work does stress me out. But if I get a BFP right away I'm worried we won't have enough time to save money to help us out when I'm off of work. But I also think I'm just finding reasons to put it off because as much as I want a baby and a family the thought of hospitals and giving birth is starting to worry me.

Please tell me I'm being stupid about all this and we should just go for it as we aren't getting any younger. (I'm 29 next month!)
  • Know just how you feel B2B!

At Xmas we decided the pills I was currently taking would be the last packet. Then I siad to OH I had started the next pack as was unsure if we are going for it and someone needed to make an 'executive' decision!!!!

The thought of it all excites and yet terrifies me at the same time!

We did the same thing. Christmas was my last packet but I had lots left. We had a clear out and I questioned if they should be thrown away. My husband did it for me :rotfl:

    Good morning :D
Squirrel chops and B2B2008- thats completley normal to feel like that..I do too,and it's my 3rd baby so I should know what I'm doing eh! I think an old saying fits this and it is..you don't regret the things you did in life, just the things you didn't do.
Me and OH said if I wasn't pg this time we were gonna wait till May/June to try again..on holiday in Florida..well,erm,I am pregnant so looks like I'll be going to Florida with a lickle bump. I don't mind to be honest, we did discuss cancelling the holiday last night but decided not to. It's not our first holiday there,we know kinda whats what,so no need to rush around trying to see/do everything. Just hope I manage ok with the heat.
Jenny, your abit further on than me then xx

Is there a list of what all the abbreviations mean somewhere?!!!

Squirrelchops, don't worry I was totally lost in the beginning too! Here you go: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/HelpCenter/FFBook/ff_abbrev.html

AF has finally left :T so now will start BDing in earnest! We did last night, but I know I'm not fertile yet (esp. b/c OV was really late last cycle) - it's only CD6, so I guess it was just for the fun of it!! :rotfl: ;)

  • Thanks so much aless.

I kept seeing everyone was 'Bding' and gathered it was nookie. So I am there trying to work it out eg bonking day or bed day etc!!!!!!!!
  • Congrats to Jenny and Helen that is fantastic news :)

Well I am on CD15 and all the signs are here that tonight would be a good night to try! We have managed every two days so far and so will continue for the rest of the week at least. I am so excited this month and really feel that something is going to happen, i just hope i can get my sensible head back on if things don't work out.

Welcome to all the newbies, don't worry about feeling worried and excited, I think we have all been there, it is a very big decision to make, but one i don't believe any of us will regret. Enjoy the trying and see what life brings, planning does not always work, so just enjoy your selves.

Very sticky baby dust to all :)

    Good luck leopardlady:T

I am currently experiencing pg symptoms and am just waiting until the end of the week to test now as AF isn't actually due until tomorrow but I figured that tomorrow might be too early to test.....unless curiosity gets the better of me of course!!

Congrats to all the BFP's....hopefully I will be joining that group soon too

To everyone trying, fingers crossed and more baby dust from me to all of you
