I'm on CD25/31 today & I think we must have missed ov. We were BD'ing every day/every other day from CD8 to CD20 & then stopped, but now I'm thinking it'll be murphy's law that I ovulated on CD21 or something!
In the past 8 weeks I have found out 5 people I'm friends with are pregnant & it feels like the whole world is pregnant - except me!
Rant over, sorry.
Baby dust to all.

You should have less friends! None of my friends are pregnant and only two close friends have kids (one whom I expected due to religious stuff but one totally unexpected) but I don't see them much and haven't met the kids, however I can't escape my sister who is 6 months pregnant and two years younger than me  Actually I can't feel anything but happiness for her :AMum to DD born Oct 2009

I know how you feel, I miscarried in August when there were 5 women all expecting in my ofice. I went back to work and watched their bumps getting bigger feeling mad, at myself not them.
All but one have gone off now to have their babies and I am still waiting for it that bfp.
Something that makes me mad as hell is the women who drink heavily, take drugs and still carry and have healthy children and I cant manage to get past 8 weeks. I have a family member who is on drugs who did just that only for the child to be taken away for adoption.
Why can they do it when they dont even want it but I cant?0 -
Hi Shel, just read your post, we are planning to TTC very soon so been lurking here a while
just wondered do you take folic acid suppliments? deficiiency in the first 12wks can cause miscarrage as the baby needs this vitamin in order for the spine to develop.0 -

Yup my doctor told me. I'm actually on a very high dose of Folic Acid 5mg because I take a cocktail of drugs for epilepsy. Not nice drugs hence the high dose but can't stop them as the alternative, multiple seizures, is worse! My doc is very concerned I'll stop them because they're not great for babies, though not enough stats for effecting misscarrige, but I know I cant, I got to take them.
I've been taking my other supplements too, individual ones as Vit A is bad for pregnancy. Fingers crossed for February, we're away in London when I should ov this month. Hotel and relaxing break may do the trick.0 -
Hiya everyone
I've been quiet for the last few days and trying to avoid this place (nothing personal;)) to help avoid symptom spotting! I'm on CD30/? & 10 days past DPO Until TTC my cycles were 28 days, but last month you may remember 37 days! So trying to avoid SS and testing. feel like AF is on her way, but who knows. We BDed on CD20, 21, 22 so around the "right" time. FF says don't test til 9th so am trying to get at least close to that date!:o
Good luck all!2009 total raised £2373.60:jthe new garden beat me in 2010 just £1306.66:o2011 - 365 £ a day.
Life Changing October 2011 - DF & £10000 saved - twins came - no plans
2013 - twins now 14 mths old - lets get sorted!

I think the problem is now we have our DD, with all the toddler classes I take her to, it means we are friends with a lot of people who are trying to expand their families. Two of them are pregnant with number three & one has just given birth to their third!
I am 3 years younger than my sister & she spent a couple of years talking about wanting a baby all the time, I wanted one too but didn't talk to my family about it as they all thought I should be worrying more about a high flying career/ "didn't seem like the baby type" (thanks for that! Quite offended! Mum.) When we got pregnant I was so worried about telling my sister, my parents knew & when my sisters all came round for a family meal when I was almost 3 months I knew I had to tell them. It got to dessert & we still hadn't said anything, so my dad says Nikabella has an announcement to make, sister's BF suggests we are engaged - we say no - sister 1 jokes we are pregnant, sister 2 laughs & says don't be ridiculous she's still as skinny as ever (cue jokes about how they have enough room for twins & triplets in their tummy bulge) - OH clears his throat & I go bright red - OMG you are pregnant says sister no 2 & bursts in to tears running from the room!   I felt awful! I didn't mean to upset my sister & no-one thought I wanted a baby - as they had never bothered to ask! Families hey!
When other people announce they are pregnant I always get asked if I'm jealous & it's difficult, because in a way I am, but "jealous" is such a horrible word. It sounds like you aren't happy for them, when I truely am. We need to invent another word that we can use that's more accurate & less offensive!

Sorry for the double post everyone - I don't know how to double quote!
Shel, I can't imagine how awful that must have been for you, having a constant reminder of where you could have been. One day though it will happen for you, try not to let it damage your hope.
I completely agree with you about people who drink, take drugs & smoke whilst pregnant. I can't understand it, it's only 9 months out of their whole life, are they so selfish that they can't put their unborn baby first for just 40 weeks. I know that for those with an addiction it must be less easy, but for those who just drink/smoke socially surely it can't be that difficult to go without?! My OH & I completely agree on this point & we know which friends we can voice these opinions with & which we can't, some of my friends & family don't see the problem & have the whole "a couple won't do any harm attitude" which after the research I have seen isn't the case. Research or not, they are poisons, surely it isn't that hard to work out that when you are building a little person from scratch that poison is going to be at the best useless & at the worst incredibly damaging. I don't smoke/do drugs anyway but I didn't drink a drop for my entire pregnancy or whilst I was breastfeeding (until she was 6 months & I was able to pump it out & throw it away for 12 hours before feeding my DD again.) I also tried to avoid coca-cola as recommended. I'm not a big drinker anyway but at the end of the day it was only 20 months & then my body was my own again.
Rant over! Sorry

Afternoon ladies,
cd10 here and Ive got a feeling I will OV abit earlier this month..:j last month I didn't untill cd20 I think it was,but I guess the stress of xmas could have caused that. Ive been taking B vitamins as I read on another forum that it can lengthen short luteal phase by either bringing ov forward or lengthening your cycle abit. Anyway, my temp went up yesterday from 35.7 (it has been at this since cd1) to 36..doesn't your temp rise just before ov? Ive done a test and the line was visable but not quite as dark as the other line so I'll test every day now untill it is.love my little man he is amazing :j0
