    Hi Annie,

According to Fertility Friend and the OPK test, I got a opk+ on the 16 day of my cycle, but with the way my temp going up now and the whole mucus thing, it feels like I only ov last week. Still no AF so waiting until till next weekend and if no AF arrives by then will test again then.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, my little magpie has been collecting shiny baubles and tinsel and hiding it everywhere.icon7.gif

I'd avoid the 'Pregnancy's Best Kept Secrets' thread at all costs then if you're that sqeamish! :rotfl:

We should really have some blokes posting in here - they need to know about what they can do to get healthy for TTC as well! This is an equal ops TMI thread! :rotfl:
  • I'd love to see some prospective fathers on here! Maybe I'll send OH to have a look....

Well, according to mymonthlycycles.com I should have OV'd last Thursday/ Friday. However today I felt what I can only describe as a mini-downpour of CM (TMI???) so now I am wondering. Or could it have been something other than CM? Who knows.......will BD tonight just to cover all bases.

Djdymond glad you're doing okay. Our TTC thread December success story:T

  • Uuuuurrrghhh, had work xmas do last night, free wine- my weakness, not feeling up to much today (sitting at my desk in a trance!). As far as I can remember someone said that alcohol in 2WW isn't a total no-no so hopefully this is the case as I think I had quite a lot last night (silly work organising it on a Monday, rubbish!).
So no temp taken this morning (was happy not to be hugging the toilet to be quite honest :o ) but now will be restrained and stop drinking (ewww just had second wave of sickness feeling, maybe will get wawy from laptop screen for a bit now-feeling very sorry for self :( )

Well, after 9 years of 'being with my OH and saying I'm never having children' - I'm suddenly extremely broody so think this site will become my new best friend! Spent the last 2 weeks deciding if we can afford it (we bought our first home in May) and yes we think it's possible - can't shake this warm fuzzy feeling I get when I see lil babes, I used to look at kids with distain!

Anyway, can't tell anyone in work cos I'm the manager and don't want it getting back to Head Office that I'm thinking about it! This is my opportunity to anonymously tell the world - telling the family and in laws at Christmas (I'm 25 with a great job and 3 bedroom house in a nice area but I still worry about what they will think!)
Loving all these abbreviations - can't wait to start BD'ing :j!
Plan to give myself until March 09 (that's 3 months to get my body in some kind of shape - I currently eat enough to feed an ant and had steriod injections in August so it's best to wait 6 months after this) and then get started!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

I wish you all the best in TTC when you get started but I'd seriously think about telling anyone else you are trying.
It gets very boring very quickly with people constantly asking if you are pg yet.
Our worst comment was "Are you sure he's putting it in the right hole" :o  Good thing that was said to me not hubby, he would have gone mad.

4 years down the line for us and people have stopped asking but I think that's only because we have had 2 losses and I have had cervical cancer. I think they feel a little insensitive keep asking so they don't bother now :rotfl: Suits me!!

I hope I haven't offended you as its a very personal choice but I'd advise thinking about it.

    shelly x

oh and welcome to the thread :D

I ended up on getting 'how to get pregnant tips'. Really annoyed me at the time.

We didn't tell anyone - apart from 2 people (a friend at previous work, we both left company to different parts of the country, and one friend back in my home country). My parents (especially my father) keeps asking when are we going to have children and in general giving not very subtle hints that it is time to start family. OH's mum is no batter - a day after wedding we were told that it is very important for me to start taking folic acid. She said to my OH in Italian (they are Italian and speak Italian mainly - not very good with English, although his mum can speak quite well) - and very good, as I pretended not to understand/hear as I would have gone mental if she said it to me in English!
