    Hi Karen

my 16 year old threatened to leave home and go and live with her dad - when I said 'ok then, I'll give him a call' she panicked and changed her mind immediately. She knows that living with him won't be the answer to our problems, she'd have to move in with his new family (3 other kids) and compete for his attention, love and money.

Anyway, I just wanted to say good luck with it all x

  • It is always best to paste on a smile and let the child go and find out for themselves if moving to the other parent is the right move. That is why i let my son do it 3 times(and cos i could not cope with him anyway) you put your foot down and you become the person standing in the way of the childs relationship with the other parent so you are in a no win situation. Children have two equal parents and boys especially need some good input from their fathers when they get to their teens.

... yeah, should be fine ... but in reality - at my age, I worry a bit! Especially when I can't see that area from where I am looking down anyway. What a thought!

AHEM...less of the old kind sir!!!! I'm a very youthful 33;)

33!!! OMG a mere slip of a girl.

Btw you were very wise not to direct your "anything from the waist down and from the thighs up should be fine" at me. You would get both more than you bargained for and less than you hoped for, at the same time.

A final thought. When you get to my age, you know you're interested, you just can't remember why.

    See y'all xxx

  • Thank you to EVERYONE for the support you brought tears to my eyes.

My ex is now saying its not convenient at the moment for her to move in and when I suggested I would like this sorted sooner rather than later he accused me of wanted to dump her asap!! That really upset me but I am not lowering myself to his level and getting into an emotional arguement. Kids have a habit of being inconvenient! He'll soon find this out!

Annie - i know wallsend, I am from Kingston Park. I'll keep you all updated, thanks again xxxxxxx

It all works out good in the end.
If it's not good, it's not the end!
