Hi Sharon87,
Really flounce up the description - that always help when you are puting things on at a higher price than a fiver! I don't know about you but when I am looking at something that starts at £20 and there is one line about it, it puts me off - I always wonder what they aren't telling me.
I still haven't listed the Burberry coat - can't work out their sizing and I don't want to insult anybody by stating XL when it is only a M for example :rotfl:
M-i-L has given me another Burberry coat, jacket and skirt - will have to list them in stages just in case ebay get the idea that I am a dodgy seller.
Anyway I am getting ahead of myself - I have still got the living room to deal with - like the idea of using throws to cover up the boxes GeologyRocks; it made me laugh
as if I did that the living room would look like a king's tent in the middle of the desert!!
Will pop in later to see how the 5p people have done - personally I haven't done as much as I would have liked, but then that is the story of me and eBay.

Maybe you could put all the boxes in one corner then cover the corner with some nice fabric or a throw or something, just so it's out of sight? This is the kind of thing that'd help me... I'd know it was there, but if I don't have to look at it all the time, it's not as bad (I'm keeping the summer clothes I have to list in the loft for now!), and items I have to list nowish behind a sofa!
GeologyRocks that sounds like exactly what i do everytime everyone comes round however i cant face that so we have decided that until we can find the time to clear out the bedroom we are sleeping in the livingroom!!!! Its not too bad we do have a sofa bed so its ok.
Someone in India kept emailing me about an item i had for sale saying she wanted as many of these things as i had and she would pay a good price for them... i only had the one item... anyway she has gone ahead and won the item and paid the postage cost to send to the UK  and in her payment has put i need this item now send it asap.... am tempted to just tell her to forget it but on the other hand im tempted to take it to the post office and say send it to India for the cheapest way possible but thats not good service so am going to have to email her and tell her that she needs to pay more postage for the item and see what she says..... oh the joys of ebay!!!
Anyway i never listed anything yesterday and enjoyed relaxing so i will need to get back into it today
TMD and Floxxie i hope things go ok for you both at the hospital
Good luck with the bids everyone

^^I'd be wary buddiebabe... it might be some sort of scam. I'd refund the money and tell him/her to get lost :S they haven't even got the decency to let you calculate the proper postage so I'd tell them to do one.0

Hey
I've emailed them and explained that it clearly states in the listing that the price quoted for postage is for UK only and international bidders need to contact me before payment. When i went in to check she had actually only paid £2.00 when postage costs for UK were £2.45  so she has the option of paying the extra £2.00 or getting a refund. If i dont hear back from her by 2moro i'll refund the money and offer a 2nd chance offer to the next highest bidder and add her to my blocked bidder list.
I have relisted 10 items today and listed 4 new items but still not made a dent in the boxes yet

Aaaargh. My awkward buyer paid the re-invoiced amount earlier after getting "confused".
And has now gone and won another of my items that has just ended. Lets see what happens now...
Fingers crossed they'll just pay for it separately and I'll post them separately.0 -
Evening everybody.
Am really eBayed out - not that I have done lots of listing but seem to have spent the evening answering questions on postage.
Have 6 parcels to wrap and post tomorrow (although 3 haven't finished yet - it's going to be another late night).
I always find that I don't want to list in the days after a promotion finishes as I think of the extra money it is costing but I must ignore it and get on with it so I have a little pile ready for my ten items tomorrow. Have also decided to take on a new plan of action:
account 1 - vintage stuff
account 2 - children's stuff
I'm going to alternate the listing each day so hopefully won't get too bored.
I was going to try and work out where we should all be depending on our targets but it's too hard at this time of the night. Roughly I should be on 280 items but I have no idea if I have hit it.
Hope you all sort out your problem buyers. The one that I thought was going to cause hassle, left feedback straight away!

Hi - I am shattered and 2 more parcels to pack before bed!
I listed 16 ebay items today - no photos as the weather was so awful and dark. Will have to do that tomorrow, though 6 have watchers with no photos.
My item with 19 watches, and 102 vews only went for 99p:rotfl:
Oh well !!!
I had tons of ebay questions today, and bought quite a bit - but one of the items I have wanted for 27 years! happy bunny!!
I did well at the NCT sale, and sold 2/3 of what I took. Have sorted out a load for the next one in 3 weeks. And just sold another cd. Amazon is paying another £5.70 into my account.
Hope everyone has a good night and had a good weeks listing. Off to pack......0 -
Evening Floxxie and everyone else.
I'm ebayed out too. Have literally only just finished listing, last auction uploaded at 23:58:58 :rotfl:
Relisted 16 items today, and did 26 new ones - none of which have photos (to save listing time). So, I 'm not quite off to bed yet
I've got 17 items awaiting postage, 13 awaiting payment.
Am going to put all the <£5 items in the post box and use online postage, to save time at the post office.
eBid... have not sold a bean.
I sold a necklace a couple of weeks before the challenge when I only had 6 items on there. So, I put on all my things that weren't selling on eBay. Maybe that's why though. If the ebayers don't want them, the ebidders probably don't either, and there's less of them!0 -
Cross-posted with you, longhotbath. (Took so long because I went off to count my listings for accuracy
)
Looks like you had the same idea with the photos!
Floxxie, I know what you mean about not wanting to list at the normal prices! I feel like I can't take a risk with something that might not sell as it's just throwing money away. I'll continue with 5 a day and save them on Turbo Lister til I feel like uploading... and maybe eBid them in the meantime...0 -
Well 3/4 of my items sold today. Although I haven't received any payment yet! One is sending a cheque and I realised that ebay gave her my old address, even though I updated it! So I've emailed her the new one.
Some of the items went for higher than expected, so that's good (providing I receive payment).
I listed my dress and the shrug that I bought with it. I put a link to the shrug in the dress listing and vice versa, so if they want both they can! I got advice from my brother, who has experience listing clothes on ebay. Hopefully they should sell reasonably well.0
