Storage Soolin? OMG how much stuff have you got? :rotfl:

Honestly you don't want to know. A few years back I helped my father and another relative clear some stuff from an aunts house, then we did the same with another relative and when Dad had to go into a home I was faced with having to clear a three storey three bedroom property in a few weeks, on my own. Unfortunately dad had just stored all the relatives stuff in his house and lived mainly in one room as an recluse.

I dumped most of the stuff but boxed up enough to fit in a room sized storage unit where it still is.

On the day I left the house for the last time I still had stuff in cupboards and under beds but the people buying the house told me to leave it all plus all the furniture. Due to the stress of it all I got frightened in the house on my own as the lights kept going out and the gas was turned off as we had a gas leak and for the last few visits I could barely force myself to go upstairs as my imagination was running riot, so I just left it all there.

That's some stuff Soolin. I guess you don't think about it too much...in my mind I am running out of things to sell and then I go into one of the eBay places and freak out. The enormity of getting rid of everything is overwhelming but I keep on thinking of the money it could earn me.

I also make the mistake of bringing a number of items downstairs to prepare for listing and then not getting around to it but when I go to return the items to their original place, other things have been put there. :rotfl:

Still haven't listed anything else as I am spending lots of energy worrying about how much people are bidding for my stuff. Has still to sort out the postage prices for the prospective Canadian and Americans but have now added a note to my listing stating that RM Airmail will not be sufficient for lots of reasons.

Have a good weekend everyone. Will pop back to see how everyone is getting on. I'm going to sit down later for a few hours to get a few listings prepared for Sunday.

Re completed tapestries, I would definitely put them on eBay. I'm even going to try children's kits, like the Paddington Bear I have sat in a box (somewhere).
Last month I sold some woollen material with holes in - eBay is amazing sometimes!

What do you think of this? True or trying it on?

I sold a Next cardigan in 18-24 months, it has bobbles all over, big bobbles, I bought it off a friend but my daughter never wore it and I sold it (cause I needed the money more than the cardigan). Anyway, just had a message saying they were disappointed that it was very bobbled (not the bobbles that were on it) and what could I do? Now to be honest it looked in great condition to me. I sent it to them 10 days ago. They said 'I thought I would contact you before I left feedback to see what you could do?'

I've e-mailed back to say if they are unhappy return it for a full refund and I would refund the postage to return. Do you think this person is trying it on? If I was unhappy with an item I would be asking for a refund on return of the item, not asking 'what can you do' this sounds like they want a partial refund and I'm not doing that, it sold for less than I wanted for it, I'd rather have it back.

I'm really starting to get fed up with Ebay, had a neg off someone saying something I sold was faded it certainly wasn't, they didn't even e-mail me to say they were unhappy just left a neg.

If I didn't need the money so bad I'd take all this stuff up the charity shop but am so in debt I have to do it.

Please let me win the Euromillions tonight, I won't be greedy.

think you have done the correct thing asking them to return, then at least if they do leave neg feedback you can at least say item in good condition and offered refund, personally i wouldnt leave feedback for them until it all sorted out and they have left feedback first. i think they are just chancing it and out of principle i wouldnt offer partial refund etc i'd rather take a loss and get item back but i'm a bit stubborn that way. did your listing say "new" or "like new" - big difference and you could point that out to them. i know neg feedback is infuriating but if the rest of your feed back is positive i wouldn't bother about 1 or 2 as its not long in getting lost in your positive

well done on your "big winnings"

    Thanks

I am certainly not offering a partial refund I'll have the item back and see for myself if it is as she says, I do check everything and I would have noticed if it had been badly bobbled. I always think it's strange when people say 'what can you do?' I shall see what she replies back. I sold it for £5.79 plus postage.
