While my little boy was asleep yesterday i lited things on turbo lister2, when i came to upload them it wouldn't let me upload them all. It said some of the items wasn't in a leaf catorgory and therefore they couldn't calculate fees, any ideas anyone??? I have 38 things listed which i'm very proud of, I find it really hard to find time to list as i have a 1 year old and 3 year old and I work part-time.
Update your turbolister, some of the categories changed quite a while ago and you'll need to use the new category number.
As for the other sites, there are some threads on the ebay boards for them:

My own views on other sites is that Amazon is a good useful site for books as you can just list them and wait for sales. However it is very important to check the net proceeds before you confirm adding a book as sometimes new sellers don't realise that the net figure is all you get for the sale. I do very well on there and it forms the backbone for my home business.
Greenmetropolis is OK but not for popular books as the cost to buyers is too expensive. A standard paperback book sells on there for £3.75 and the seller gets £3 but a lot of those books are only costing buyers £2.76 on Amazon. However if you have some thin paperbacks and can discount heavily then there are sales, and likewise some non fiction can go well there as also. I have about 150 books listed and sell about one a month.
Ebid is a waste of space, no buyers at all. I have been selling on there for over 5 years and have had one sale.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. WOW mrscmr, how do you do it? The most I have ever had on ebay at one time is 50. It takes me ages to list and the packing, when loads of items sell on one night, is a nightmare! How do you manage it?Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550

really really trying to increase cash and deal with the money situation!
It does take over somewhat but wont be for ever.

35 listed on sunday. Was away until 7pm, then Computer crashed and I have flu..
I say listed - I wrote title and stated details to follow - I have been revising my listings with the photos and blurb today - will finish by lunch tomorrow. Lots of watchers, even on the stuff with no info!!

Still having issues with pictures not appearing on the eBay site even when I reload them; anybody else having problems?
I'm also now worried. On one of my accounts 10 out of 30 listings have bids so now I am dreading the auctions ending. I struggle to find the time to list, let alone package and send :rotfl:
Hoping for an earlier night tonight so I can find some energy tomorrow to put some new listings on. Will never get to mrscmr's levels (v.impressed) but really need to!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Evening all,
Are we all having a night off?
I did not realise that selling a partly-done tapestry could generate so many questions - 10 and counting! Postage seems to be a favourite, although they are not questions but more commands on what RM service I should use and how I should wrap the item. :rotfl:
Now have 14 items with bids. Am now worried about some of the prices they are selling for and wondering whether I didn't describe them properly in my rush to get the d*mn things on!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
wow everyone has been very impressive with their listings! think i managed 21 on sunday - some relists in there as well. one item has a bid already.
i only have one more avon campaign to do then i should have more time for ebaying! fingers crossed anyway! i am defo gona put the money in a separate account from the new year onwards - would love to start now but i kinda need any extra money i make for my upcoming holiday!
there is always something lol!!!0 -
