too_much_debt wrote: »Floxxie - When you claim for a lost parcel do RM normally refund you what the item sold for plus the postage you charged or just what the item sold for and the actual postage it cost to send it? I need to claim for a lost parcel that I've already refunded for and I keep forgetting to ask at the Post Office for a claim form.

Hi TMD, you can print the forms off the Royal Mail website which is a good job because I have forgotten to ever pick one up from my local P.O.
It depends who you get as to what you get back. I have always had both the item value and postage cost back but when you read up on others experiences they get the item value only. You do need to keep the postage cost receipt from the P.O. (I'm not sure how you would do it if you purchased online? I guess you could get a receipt of some form). I assume that if you can't produce it, then you will only get the item value cost back. You also need to print off the pages off eBay to show how much the item sold for.
I was wondering what to do about the ebay side of things. They have had their listing fees. Would it be wrong to close the transaction to try and get soemthing back?
This business seems a constant loser.
On a postive note I have a buyer who is going to collect the item on Friday with cash so as long as that happens I shall eb a very happy bunny - no Paypal fees to pay and no postage to go wrong!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

I have had a couple of overseas buyers today, one is from Australia and I can't remember how much I quoted her for postage, I think it was £3.50 for a baby shorts set, should I just send an invoice with £3.50 on and hope for the best, I'm sure if I've added over she'll let me know.

Check your sent eBay messages - it should be there for you. WhatI tend to do is add the response to the website so I don't need to remember or search around.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Thanks Floxxie. I just checked my Paypal account and she has paid and has added £4 for postage. I did think after I replied that I should have ticked to have it appear on the listing.
I shall have to print off a form from the website for claiming, I didn't think of that.
Sold quite a few things today, waiting for payment for 10 items (one person bought something on 27 August and asked me twice for my address so I opened a dispute and they said they would send payment today.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Hi
I did 5 new listings yesterday and 75 relists.
Not sure how many I'll get done today (will do at least 1 or 2) have lots to wrap up and also didn't get much sleep last night as OH's car alarm went off at 1.45am and wouldn't stop, he had CID helping him as they thought he was nicking the car, anyway, AA came out about 3am and was there for about 3/4 of an hour, OH came back in at 4am and had to leave at 4.45am to go to work (poor sod). Anyway, car now has no alarm as the AA man had to knock it out to stop it going off. Poor neighbours!!

Hi!
No new listings for me today. Got a few more bits to get listed soon but really need to get rid of the (big) baby stuff already listed before I can do much more. No space left to keep stuff :rotfl:Treadmill is piled high with car seats, etc! Good excuse not to exercise I guess
Hoping your car boot lot sells well Jaynemaria! Might be trying that myself soon!
