You must have the patience of a saint Floxxie to list 310 items. Just finished 5 & that's enough before coffee!

What's the new P&P rules please. I'm a newbie here so a bit thick really!

    QUOTE]

I sold a Rolling Stones CD to a Tony Robinson last week and it was an address near Pinewood too. Was quite exiting! On my work ebay I have sold some vintage top hats to Selfridges London window display department and the BBC props department:D

jessarose i get sooo star struck it it unbelievable! it gets o embarassing even it is only a local celeb who no one else would even have heard off lol!!

as far as i know hettiecarro the new p&p rules means you have to offer free p&p on all media - so cds, books, dvds, computer games etc. i think this is what it is but it doesn't start until sept or oct. hope i got it right!

have 10 cds listed in like 15mins - amazon is so much easier than ebay!

I don't recognise famous people so have managed to be rude to a few footballers in my time...even refused to sit at the same table as three of them.

Have sold a few houses to famous people but was only told afterwards. The rest of the staff couldn't believe how cool I had acted and I had to admit I didn't recognise these people but did get the impression that they had big egos.

My best one was serving Princess Anne (is that the horsey one?) and I didn't realise who she was, despite the entourage around her. My boss told me off because I made her pay for her jacket potato :rotfl:and didn't use the correct form of address.

hettiecarro, I have no patience but needs must as my family would like a home to live in rather than an ebay hovel! I also have some serious money raising requirements so it is a necessity.

Have nearly sorted out 10 listings which is rubbish but they are the higher value ones (hopefully). Am going to have a break from writing to work out postage for them and then I have another box full of carp which I shall try and list as well.

Not sure what to do about books - is there a maximum postage cost allowed now? I have hundreds of hardbacks and I don't know whether to put them on GreenMet or eBay. Any thoughts?

Time for coffee and then to work out postage (ooops starting the delay tactics!)

Books are currently capped at £2.75 for post and packing but that should be enough to cover a standard hardback if you use 2nd class post.

ok i'm up to 24 active listings with 1 bid. I've had enough for one day.

I'd say books sell better on amazon/play/green met and theres the bonus of no fee until they sell.

Well done purpleroses. I too have also had enough for one day; I forget how long it takes to list. I'm going to have a short break and then start on preparing some more listings to put on tomorrow night.

    Today I have added 15

    August total 15/310

    A little way to go....

I haven't done any new listings but I did relist a few this evening and sold something for £12.50; a pair of shoes I bought for £1 a few months ago but they hurt my feet. Bonus :)
