Hi everyone, a while ago I saw this thread and it inspired me to have a clear out and list about 20 items in eBay, although I didn't officially join the challenge as if I can't part with enough of stuff to list 3 or 5 items a day.

My listings end on Sunday, got a few watchers and was thrilled to see I have a bidder for a rubbish old ornament which I hate!! However the bidder's location says Belgium. Also I've had a question about posting another item to Bulgaria, despite selecting that I'll only post to the UK.

I've heard you can set your preferences so it will block sellers from outside the UK, how do I do this? Also what do I do if this Belgian buyer wins the auction. There's no way I'd post to outside the UK as I deliberately only listed items which would be able to pop into the postbox as work during post office opening times.

Hi Lucystardust. You can block certain buyers by going to the 'buyer requirement' section (just below postage) and click on 'add/remove' in the yellow bar (found next to 'Other things you'd like buyers to know') or just click on the blue highlighted 'buyer requirements' or 'change buyer requirements' links. You'll then be able to block buyers registered in countries you don't post to along with other buyer blocking options.

I'm sure someone with experience of an unwanted foreign sale can tell you how they handled the situation. Personally, if it was me, I'd probably honour the sale and see it as a lesson learned. Obviously making the buyer aware that he/she will have to pay considerably more than the UK postage advertised. At least you know it won't happen again with the blocking system in place.

    Hope this helps.

Listed another 30 items tonight, which brings my active listings to 168. More than enough for now me-thinks!

You could also cancel the Belgium bid...assuming that you haven't got any others and send them an email about only UK postings.

    By the way welcome...
