Floxxie...I do have a load of books, CDs and DVDs I want to sell. They are all unsorted at the mo but they are my next project to tackle after I've [STRIKE]bullied[/STRIKE] er asked nicely OH to help me with all the pics for the piles of stuff I want on there! Then I might get to see the floor of the back bedroom again...:o
Is Amazon the best place for the books etc? I've not sold on there before but often hear others success stories.Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

Fantastic Rainy!
I use Amazon to sell my books, DVDs and CDs. On the books side, I find that text books and he more unusual books fetch good prices. All the CDs I put on sold really quickly. You might not make your millions but you should be able to clear you clutter. Amazon tell you how much you are going to get once the item is sold so you know unlike eBay!
If you have lots of novel type books, you could try greenmetropolis. you get £3 for each book which you ahve to take your postage out of but it's a good site for popular books where there are too many on Amazon.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
just had my first problem:eek:
sold a memory card and posted it in a normal envelope with a first class stamp. Thought this would be ok as it weighed a lot less than a DVD that was sent through PO or 49p.
Anyway customer has contacted me saying she had to pay £1.08 extra postage and collect from her sorting office and would I be compensating her.
I have offered her a refund of £1.99 - price paid for disc and her keep it and £2.00 for compensation for postage and inconvenience. Postage was free.
Does this seem fair?
dont want negative feedback leaving0 -
Prices don't just go on the weight of the item but the size, including the depth. I'm not sure how thin a memory card is and if it would therefore would be classed as a letter, but if it wasn't, that would add extra onto the cost but I can't imagine £1.08.
So I'm wondering if the postage was 8p short and then you have the £1 charge from the PO on top? So I would have paid the £1.08 and apologised. Not sure why you have given her the item for free and extra compensation!
You are also down on eBay FVFs and your packaging.
A negative won't kill you and she could still leave you one even after you have done all that.Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
I think as it was the first complaint I have gone a bit OTT. The size of the card is about as thick as two creditcards together, I have sent Birthday cards thicker.
I am being a bit dense here what do you mean down on ebays FVF's:o0 -
just worked out final value fee.
