Isn't that just the thing with Ebay? I once sold a fake noustache on it that someone had given me as a joke present. I think it was a good one, as they go, but it was useless to me and I put it up for 99p + P&P. I would have been delighted if it had sold for that, but in the end it went for over £6. I had such fun looking at the bids on that, and still laugh about it every now and then. You really just cannot tell what someone else is looking for, or how much it is worth to them. ;)

Well it seems things have picked up a bit.

Have sold 4 things over the weekend at a profit of £61 :D

Also managed to get a load of stuff listed over the weekend so I currently have 43 items for sale all of which seem to be doing better than they have been with plenty of watchers and some initial bids which is good.

Might try and get a few more things on tonight but I’m off on holiday next Wednesday so don’t want to have too much to package up and post before I go away really. Once I get back however I am really going to go for it as I want a new car and any money I make is going towards that so the more I make the better car I can get in the end

When it comes to posting my Post Office Clerk gave me a postage book which I write all the names and addresses of the recipients and he scans them in and does them that way. It is a lot quicker than the normal way of doing it although it does still take a while.

  • I started my ebaying on Saturday, and i have listed 10 things, 5 havent finished yet, 5 have, and i've managed to make £45, none of them were big things! ~ so i am quite chuffed, it all adds up! I use to think selling a pair of pink love heart shaped sunglasses (that i got from primarni for £1 which i knew i would never wear) would be pointless, but i made £1.50 profit.. i love this forum! ♥

i have absoloutly millions of books to sell, but they dont seem to be selling on ebay, and i'm not registered with amazon.. ~ should i? do they sell on there? or are there any other websites you recommend?

    many thanks

welcome moneytree - you will get support/advice and motivation on this thread. we all go through ups and downs - good and bad ebay times so you are in the right place.

well done fairycake - personally i have been selling books on ebay - i have a mum who reads and reads and just gives me her books and i list them and i keep the cash! i know others prefer amazon and some other place too.

good luck! more listing for me now.

    Hi mrscmr

How many listings do you have now? I am going to see how many I can get listed today, am just sorting out my 4 boxes to see what I think will get bids on, so far I have a bag, cake decorating book, old football programme, some baby tights, Ty beanies, a DVD and will see what else I can find.

I had to post 8 parcels today too. I've got a couple to post tomorrow, had an e-cheque clear today.

Was going to get lots ready to list tonight but kids do not allow for much concentration, when they go to bed I'll take lots of pictures of everything in the boxes behind me and work my way through them, might stay up late tonight and see what I can get done to list tomorrow as I'm away next Wednesday so have to have things finishing between now and Monday so some 5 days listings are on the cards.

Have a good evening, hope you get lots more listed.
