has any-one used the online Post Office thingy yet. You can enter the weight of the parcel etc it will work it out and print the label for you - no more faffin at the post office. That is the bit i hate about selling on-line,

I saw it this morning when i logged into ebay on the top right hand corner
    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/postagecentre/index.html

Like soolin I use it for low value items as you don't get a proof of posting without still going to the post office

Good for CDs, DVDs and books I find. If I loose them it won't be too much money lost

I list everything without checking them mrscmr - I've only had one damaged out of many sold and gave a full refund straight away so still got postive feedback

  • think i will do that then just for lower value items that i can fit into post box. Are you ok to printout onto regular paper and stick them on to the parcel - i dont have any sticky labels x

Yep just print onto normal paper and sellotape at all sides (thats what they ask you to do to ensure its secure)

I've sold cosmetics in the last few days with no problem (as long as it is new) and have historically sold perfume - although the silly cow who bought tried to claim it was fake (I knew it wasn't and told her and never heard anymore from her and got + feedback.

We have hundreds of CD's that I might try and convince DH to try and sell, although not hold out much hope of that happening.

Floxxie - I'd never be able to find a full week to dedicate to listing everything so looks like I'll have to go back to my books - I almost paid for my wedding 5 years ago selling mainly books, long before the IBSN option was available. Well get back into it this week hopefully.

    how we all doing today?
today i have taken another 14 parcels to post office - yesterday 20. now have an understanding with the post office lady to take my parcels and if i leave her some cash she will package up during the day! result! no embarrassing standing there for hours!

    x

mrscmr. I too have a great post office where I take my parcels in & leave, then pick up my change & reciepts the next day its so much easier. I write in the corner of the parcel which way I want it sent.

Hi guys - I havnt got much listed at the moment - about 15 items which will end today. 6 with watchers, but only one with bids - a cross stitch kit.
(why did I ever think that I would have the time!!):rotfl:

mrsmcr - how did your part completed ones do - I have a couple in the loft that I would like to see the back of!!

Im not listing now until mid august - lots of end of term activities, and then holidays. some of my buyers have been slow to pay and bizarley really slow at leaving feedback - my mum doesnt have broadband so I will be internet free for a bit:eek:

I will be listing books when I get back to it - where is the best place to sell books?
