What's so scary about Amazon? Give me Amazon any day over eBay.
Ok Lexxx, I shall be checking in on Sunday to make sure that you have listed something on Amazon!
Anyway I am feeling a bit down about eBay at the moment. I've sold stuff for more than I paid for it new and that always worries me...not sure why, maybe I'm concerned that my description is that good I have gone over the top!
I've also had someone buy something and they are in the Channel Islands and she has paid UK postage but when I go into Royal Mail, it says UK (exc. the Channel Isles) so does it cost more to go there and if so, how did she get UK postage? Oh the worry of sending stuff out.
Will pop back shortly hoping somebody will have some answers for me on the meaning of eBay life.

I had that exact problem two weeks ago Floxxie - I did the whole postage thing online, printed it off then saw that message. So I took it to the post office to check and the price was exactly the same, the lady in the PO could not understand why the website said excluding channel islands when it was the same price anyway.
I would take it down there and check tomorrow if you can and then if it is different you can contact the buyer afterwards and get them to pay the extra postage before you send it
Amazon is definately much much easier than Ebay, as is Play.com for games, cds, dvds etc. Do try it, honestly, you will be glad you didNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
hi floxxie.. .how are the piles?
i dont have any answers but i can understand what you mean about the ebay worries. i really go over the top to describe something. to the point i will put i dont think these shoes are suitable for people with wide feet etc which might look odd but i dont want people saying ooo they too narrow blah blah.
i always worry when there is no feedback - does it mean they hate me? no prob not .. just means they are busy and not obsessed with making money like me!!!
have a good eve. im planning a big listing session on friday for 10 listing. im going to try clothes this time.

Yeah, I'll join in, have been listing lately. This will give me the motivation to carry on! The last lot of stuff I listed paid for my kids birthday party. Did a car boot on Sunday and made £90, a few spends for holiday at the sea-side at the end of the month. The stuff I am going to list will try and save up to pay onto credit card. Sick and tired of this debt! Keep me going guys!!!!
Will go for 5 a day, since ebay there is not muh left around my house!0 -
i make no promises floxxie:rolleyes:0

Thanks all for making me feel better. I do wonder whether it is just me with these worries but obviously not
JesaRose, you have put my mind at rest. I just didn't feel I had the energy to sort out another 'issue'. I've already got a buyer from Australia who has purchased 6 magazines and hadn't checked the postage costs before bidding!
On the positive side, the pennies are starting to stack up but I do need to get some more listings onto eBay. I have lots of listings ready except I need to add postage and photos. That's really naughty. Will make amends by Sunday when Lexxx will no longer be an Amazon virgin. :rotfl:(I'm not putting ANY pressure on you, honest!)
Welcome AJ99, well done on the car boot! You can eBay at your own speed and you are welcome to ignore my ramblings as I am not a good influence but the others are great
Right which pile shall I look at now?....
