Just wanted to add that you can buy a LW&W book that is a picture book. The story is abridged, but not that much, and the illustrations are lovely (by christian Birmingham). I know you can get it in waterstones on a 3 for 2 with other picture books, but I imagine you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
I am reading this to my two year old, who has seen a lot of the advertising around and was interested in the story. He is really enjoying it, and illustrations give us lots to talk about.0 -
Hi ya, Just wanted to say that I have bought the copy that Glad recommends from the book people, for my 3 year old daughter as part of her Christmas pressie. I think it will be too old for her as its too long for one sitting and we haven't yet advanced to reading only a few pages at a time... will still give it to her though to see, it can always be put away for later. I do think it would be great for a five year old though, and it's a great price. Pictures are beautiful and the print is ideal for that age.Trying to tidy and clean while the kids are still growing, is like trying to clear snow even though it's still snowing
