Everything is from freecycle, ebay, asda, poundland, charity shops.
I wanted novelty jumpers but settled for t shirts as the jumpers were way too expensive. (t shirts were £8.99 on ebay)
im putting it in a wrapped box ive already got.
Have i covered everything?
Hi Chirpychick,
Everything you've done sounds brilliant and will set you up for a lovely Christmas eve. You mentioned that you wanted a blanket for your husband but they are too expensive, try looking in Primark. I am not a fan of Primark but even I had to admit the blankets were brilliant value. I first bought 2 a few years ago £2 each and recently bought two more and the price had gone up to about £3.50 if I remember correctly. I bought more not because I had to replace the others (they wash brilliantly) but because friends of mine were always borrowing them so I bought them as stocking fillers. They are the softest fleecy/brushed cotton effect. I can't stress how soft and cosy they are. Brilliant value for money as they stay this soft even after washing. The do all sorts of colours I got plain cream and plain pink ones, but i've seen navy, brown, black, lepoard print! all sorts. I hope you and your husband have a wonderful time together.xx0 -
Hi,
I saw on here a few poem suggestions and wondered if anyone could help. My closest friend and I write a little note to each other in our Christmas cards and I've been stuck trying to write a little rhyme or poem. We're both 31 and single girls at the moment and I wanted something fun/funny/positve to write maybe about Christmas or the year ahead.
Any suggestions or ideas welcome.
Thank you.xx0 -

The only fleeces in our primark (as soft and cuddly as they are, and they really are!) are a fiver.0 -
Far too excited for Christmas Eve
How are you all doing?
Princess Sparklepants0 -
Very excited here too, and we've never done xmas eve hampers before so the children have no idea something nice is happening tomorrow too!0

We've done our hampers and they were very successful. The children seemed to really believe the elves had brought them, in fact DD thought they must be still on the roof. The gingerbread boy and girl I ended up getting from the US were the biggest hit, and they also loved the homemade soaps. Our hampers included
gingerbread boy/girl
xmas mini plush
led torch
sparkly pen and notebook
mini hot water bottle
pyjamas
peppermint creams
snowman soup
name a star certificate
letter from Santa
reindeer food
penguin soap
handmade soap slices
toothbrush
santa stops here name plates
bubble bath
a DVD
It was great fun and I'll definitely do it again next year although DS will be 10 and hard to convince the elves came! If he doesn't believe it now he's not saying!0 -
My xmas eve hamper for my OH & I is all ready!! I'm so excited, can't wait to see his face when he opens it later. It's the first time I've made one & I've included:
PJ's for both of us
Popcorn
Chocolates
Hot chocolate x 2
2 x DVD's
Bottle of Bucks Fizz
Planning on having a nice evening snuggled up in front of the TV before we get to open our other gifts tomorrow!
Thank you so much for your inspiration, I would never have thought of this on my own and I'm hoping it will become a new tradition that will continue when little feet (hopefully) arrive!#55 in £2012 challenge - £169.87 / £20120 -
I'm starting to prepare for this years - the earlier you start the more you can spread the cost :xmastree:
Have tops already for Christmas Day (smart for photos you see) - keep looking for pyjamas but I can't find any I like yet and not rushing it with 6 months left to go
Anyone else starting early?
Princess Sparklepants0 -
I've started already.
Got some lovely little christmas bubble bath gels in superdrug for 10p the other day.
Just keeping looking around for bargin bits and pieces. DD1 is getting harder as she gets older. But won't be without her hamper lol.0 -
I have the shower gel too (the winter warmth one from Avon that you can't get anywhere other than eBay because they replaced it with the rubbish Winter Magic one and the Boots Winter range that they replaced last year - again thank god for eBay!!)
I also got 2 reusable handwarmers for mine too today whilst in Dunelm Mill because at 24p it'd be wrong not to!
Have other few bits for it too - taking shape nicelyPrincess Sparklepants0
