What do you think of these poems I've come up with? A little lame & corny maybe!!
For MIL:
You’ve been visited by a Chrismas Elf,
He was quiet and quick and used all his stealth,
Father Christmas sent him,
It wasn’t just on a whim,
To leave this special Christmas hamper,
Full of treats and things to pamper
just for very special you,
“And if only you knew”
Santa thought to himself, “How much you are loved”.
So tonight you must be tired,
But you have us all inspired,
So open up this special box of treats,
and help yourself to all the yummy eats,
then get cozy in those new socks,
and turn off all the clocks,
Sip a little of that nice wine,
and tomorrow no-one will whine,
It will be full of Christmas cheer,
Merry Christmas, [name] dear.
For Sister:
Father Christmas got a little confused,
“Where shall I leave this” he mused,
It’s seems you’ve moved quite a lot,
But he thought to himself “I’ll give this a shot”,
So he left this with Twinkle for safe keeping,
But don’t worry he’ll find you when you are sleeping,
(In a non creepy way).
This box is for Christmas Eve day,
Some yummy things to eat,
and things to relax which nothing can beat,
So put your feet up and sing a carol or two,
And if that doesn’t work then shout coo coo ca choo!
Merry Christmas from all at the Grotto,
Oh, and don’t forget to check the Lotto!
For my DH:
Santa knows you’ve been good all year,
but he did have a tear,
as you’ll be waiting one more day,
to celebrate in that Christmas way,
so he sent this box full of special cheer,
but have no fear,
it’s filled with yummy things to eat,
and things to relax which nothing can beat,
Merry Christmas My Love,
I hope it’s all you dreamed of ...Proud to be a MFW :j MF aim date Nov 2018

I think they are lovely
I would be really happy to receive a poem knowing the effort you had put into writing them

I quite enjoyed it really
Just remembered, our Asda were selling the pirate version of Matey for 85p a bottle, hopefully it's nationwide
Also just bought one of these - was the cheapest price I found, I know it's been mentioned before - http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/4-/15689043/We-Wish-You-A-Merry-Christmas/Product.html
Funnily enough, a couple of days ago i looked up the Matey website to see if they had a christmas bottle.
I've got that Wii Xmas game too, but noticed on the Grabbit forum yesterday that they should be played now rather than put in the hamper as they have a countdown to christmas feature, so I'm going to put it on when the kids come home from school today.
Tesco had nice little covered mini hot water bottles, half marked price - £4. There's only a couple of designs remotely suitable for boys, but managed to get a couple.0 -

I've done Christmas Eve hampers for my nieces and nephews (1 hamper per family).
Each hamper has, x2 PJs, x2 torches, x2 reindeer dust, x2 reindeer poop (you can't see these very well on the photos - they are choc raisins and malteasers in a cellophane cone with a reindeer tag attached) x2 books, x2 santa choc lollies, a christmas DVD. The box is from Dunelm Mill. Since I took the photos I've also added Thornton's chocolate tags with their names iced. Hope they like them!0 -
http://www.thorntons.co.uk/p/Browse_By_Price_Under-5/7196.html - any good for labelling individual ones, or 'love santa x' etc?
This tag can be iced with up to 10 letters.Princess Sparklepants0 -
