I am giving xmas eve hampers as family gifts to my sisters family and also my oh's brothers family. I am wanting to put a poem type instruction tag thing on it if that makes sense and was hoping for some help.
In each hamper is
personal jama's for each child
slipper socks for mum and dad
wine
schloer
xmas book
xmas dvd
bubble bath
flannels for each person
cookies in a jar
reindeer food
wooden door hanger for each child to decorate
selection box for each child
box of heroes for adults
candles
rudolph poop.
I reallly cant think of anything but hoping for some creative ideas please.
Here you go - I think i missed my forte you know.,.....
It’s a magical time with rooms full of cheer,
It seems like we do this once a year,
Look inside this seasonal box,
There’s something for everyone even the dog,
The elves have been busy, busy as bugs,
Making your PJ’s to keep you all snug,
The slipper socks, are for mum and dad,
And a bottle of wine for when the kids are in bed,
You’ve got chrissy books and festive dvds
To enjoy after your bath for you and for me,
We’ll eat the cookies and choccies galore,
For Doner and blitzen, the food they’ll adore,
We’ll light the candles, and listen for Santa,
I really hope you enjoy this Christmas hamper

Another thought, which I've mentioned in another thread and just remembered your post so sorry for doubling up.
If you need a shorter length, it might be worth looking into TV show specials like this one:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Spongebob-Squarepants-Christmas-DVD/dp/B000VRGCVS/ref=sr_1_249?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1322754047&sr=1-249
Or this one:

or these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Peppa-Pig-Triple-Christmas-Collection/dp/B005FQ2JXU/ref=pd_cp_d_h__2
... or a few of the ones above.
Do you have an age range or various show interests to see what we can find that might be suitable, esmer?Princess Sparklepants0 -
Hey Gleek,

I have a DD who is nearly 5yrs this christmas. Last year we got her new pyjamas, and the father christmas dvd which we watched on christmas eve and she loved it - she wants to watch again nearer christmas. This year we have new pyjamas, princess bubble bath gel, a wee xmas chocolate bar and tom & jerry xmas dvd to watch before bedtime - it was only £3 in asda the other day.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

I love this idea so much! And even though we don't have children yet I'm going to do a couple this year. I'm actually working 7-3 Christmas Day (we're having our Christmas on Boxing Day) so I thought I would do one for hubby to find when he comes down in the morning; I also thought I would pop one over to my MIL's, we are spending Boxing Day with her and she's working 7am-10pm() Christmas Day so I can pop into hers on the way home so it's a surprise when she gets in & she will love the thought! Also, I'm seeing my sister on the Friday in London so thought I could do her one that she could open on xmas eve. I would like to put a rhyme on each one but I'm not very good at that!! For my MIL so far I thought I could write:
You've been visited by a Christmas Elf,
He was quiet & quick & used all his stealth, (really hard to rhyme with elf!!!!)
- and that's it!!!!!! Anyone have any ideas???
In the hampers will be:
MIL
Pyjamas
Bed socks
Snowman Soup & Christmas mug
Christmas Novel
Christmas socks
Homemade Biscuits
Homemade Chocolates
Mince Pie x2 (one for Santa! Although just realised it will be a day late!)
Lush bubble bath
Small bottle of wine
Possibly a novelty jumper!
Sister
The same as above plus the Mickey Mouse Christmas DVD that we watched as kids!
Hubby
Same as MIL plus some cheesey Christmas DVDs & a dressing gown & cider rather than wine!
I'm going to put a note on each thing as well, like 'wine is for unwinding', and on the mince pies 'one for you and one for Santa (he's making a special trip back just for you!)' ...
The rhyme for my sister might need to say something like:
'Santa left this with your sister for safe keeping' or something as I'm giving it to her the day before xmas eve. (She is fully grown, so yes I know I'm being daft but if you can't be daft at Christmas ...). She calls me Twinkle if that helps with a rhyme!
And for hubby ... he's hoping to do some hours as a Special Police Officer xmas morning while I'm out so something about that? 'Christmas hasn't been canceled ... just postponed and while you wait ...'
I'm sorry I'm so rubbish! I hope this makes sense to someone!!! :rotfl:
