Seriously though, I'm sure as you get nearer the end your natural instincts will stear your attentions elsewhere. This is probably the only time you'll be able to slack off (if you ever can in teaching) and get away with it. I would make the most of it and get some chill out time built in each day. Even if it's just 30 mins reading or having a bath etc.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

My first day of being very relaxed at work has been very nice.
I have been off timetable this afternoon, completed one exam with a student, but rather than rush back to my class and be an angel, I have chilled out in the office, and been reading some diaries.
Had a lovely MSE weekend, made a big lasagna at the weekend, which should do us another two meals. I did three tutoring clients at the weekend, one a block booking, so with that and some money from closing our old joint account, I have almost £500 to pay into the bank after school. We were also invited to a freinds for dinner yesterday, so have hardly spent anything. Fitting in with my very relaxed outlook, I also hap a little nap each day and felt very pampered!
I am also goign to call into the second hand clothing place as I seem to be expanding and no bras fit!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I had an appointment with the midwife this morning and my blood pressure has really dropped, it is still in the safe zone, but it made the midwife chuckled as she said its unusual!
I told her I am being a lot more chilled out now, and it seems to be paying off!
I managed to find a very expensive bra for 50p in the community shop, new with tags, so very pleased I didn't buy 2nd hand off ebay! Kind of thinking there is money to be made from things like this in the community shop, but I don't have the heart to buy and resell.
We have lived off lasagna and salad, and I've made loads of marmalade. I am going to try and go light on my petrol usage, as the budget is looking ok apart from this.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

            Hi All,
Not updated for a while but have been busy doing MSE things and working!
I completed my work tasks, I ended up doing the portfolio for everybody (it was just easier than explaining it!) I did say no to repackaging it though, honestly I would end up doing everything, if I didn't say no!
I have got exams to do this week, and a little marking, and I need to swot up on my marking before the papers arrive in a few weeks.
So here is my progress this week:
Savings -
Woohoo! I finally convinced my OH to reduce the sky package, which will save us £20/month!!
Switched over to another energy supplier, and seem to be getting through to OH on electricity usage
Sold 2 items on ebay - every little helps
Wine company delivered an order that I cancelled - watch this space to see if I get it for free!
Complaints I made last week got me £6.50.
Tutoring is going ok, and OH had another win on the horses, £180 after bets.
I have bought a big baby item second hand, got it for £15 on ebay, the cheapest I've seen it. Brought my kitty down to £6, but thats fine, only need a few bibs now.
So all in all, things going well, and looking forward to a reasonable op this month.
ps forgot, had to get more cleaning products polish and washing tabs, as washing machine is broken and wont take powder, and OH won't use soap nuts. So I have overspent on toiletries/cleaning stuff by £20

            Not feeling so positive today!
Didn't sleep well, got up late and was late for work
Student teacher not in for a while - unwell
horrible pupil in class that I had to remove
Memo from head to say he isn't dealing with my pay form til later in the year.
 back aches
OH put a wash on with about 5 things in.
I keep spilling food on myself as I can't eat when not at table = more washing, no washing machine.
We have no kitchen, dining room, bedroom or spare room due to extention and painting
So to cheer myself up:
managed to get favourite shave gel bogof for OH for £1.65
 got facewash on points
ordered £70 watch for brother for xmas for £10 with voucher.
about to have a bath to ease my back pain
Dad is coming to decorate the spare room into nursery tomorrow
It will be nice when all the work is finished
Only 4 days till the weekend (not sure if this counts really, but I need all the smiles I can get)
Although oh just doesn't get energy saving, he does try from time to time.
Oh well, sure I'll feel more positive tomorrow!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Didn't sleep well, got up late and was late for work oh well, not like you do it all the time.
Student teacher not in for a while - unwell boo
horrible pupil in class that I had to remove boo
Memo from head to say he isn't dealing with my pay form til later in the year. double boo
back aches take care - did you say you have a Tens machine? If so, that might be an option to help with this, or rest more.
OH put a wash on with about 5 things in. at least OH is trying to help you out by sticking a wash on
I keep spilling food on myself as I can't eat when not at table = more washing, no washing machine. pregnancy hazard i am afraid. My friend and i used to eat lunch together when pregnant, and you could guarantee we could both find bits of our sandwiches in our bra after lunch as it just dropped into the gap nicely. Handy if you were hungry while teaching after lunch.
 :rotfl:
We have no kitchen, dining room, bedroom or spare room due to extention and painting at least the baby isn't here at the minute and it will look great when done

It's ok to feel down. Just keep plodding and you will get there i promise. I hated all the mess from decorating both times when pregnant as we took on big jobs and it was hard to believe DH would ever have enough time to get it all done but we did in the end. Try to ignore it and get a few earlier nights.0 -
            Thanks Michelle,
You were completely right, things were slightly better yesterday, and now I have the stress of completing another round of speaking exams out of the way, today should be quite stress free now too. I found out the the girl who was utterly dispicable in class on Monday has had a really really horrible life changing thing happen lately, so I can forgive her a little anger towards the world.
For the rest of the week at work I plan to complete 1 set reports DONE, check student teachers reports DONE, and complete the KS3 results. I will also mark a set of books DONE and plan for next week DONE- that is it! Student teacher should be back in work tomorrow, so I should have a bit of time to catch up tomorrow.
Dad has got on great decorating the nursery (box room) and he is currently laying some carpet, it should be really nice.
This weekend (back pain permitting) I will be able to sort out the house a bit more, and do some washing at a neighbours house I hope.
Bath does ease my back a bit at the end of the day, but during the day it really bothers me. Going to bring a hot water bottle tomorrow!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
