Where on your back is it hurting? Have you spoken to mw about it? It's just there might be some quite simple exercises you can do to ease things up a bit. You've still got a little while to go especially if you're still wanting to work til the end of term

It is sore all over really, from coxics(sp?) up to almost shoulders, but not too sore if you know what I mean?!

A hot water bottle or bath sorts it out, but it is hard work putting up with itall day.

Mid wife in 2 weeks, will ask her then.

    Hi all,

I have had constant back ache for a while, but discovered that a vibrating massage cushion temporarily gets rid of the ache. Should I keep using it? OH says that the vibrations may harm the baby.:(

Don't know what to do - its so nice to not have the ache!!

Work has been great lately since I have been chilling out and doing small amounts of work, and keeping cool.

    Some budget updates:

    Money in:
I have a mystery shop tomorrow (£5 fee, £10 reimbursement) and my 8th tutoring client of the week! Tutoring is going really well, but as the gcse pupils drop off int he next few weeks, I will not be replacing them, so will be left with 3 clients only.

The £5 fee will be used to pay off more of my toiletries overspend.

I was refunded £30 on my credit card as a placator, as they messed up my direct debit. Also got them to remove the note on my credit file - unbelievable that they can mess things up and then put a note on my credit file that I didn't pay! the £30 is going into my kitty for unbudgeted spends, but will probably be used to cover the toiletries expense, and maybe get some bibs.

    Money out:

Food budget overspent by £1, and 10 days of May left!
I spent extra £8 on bbq food today as OH said he might make it home in time, and I just really fancied an evening in the garden with him. He didn't make it home, so a bit disappointed, but hopefully the weather will hold out and we can bbq in the week.

I think we will need more milk and possibly fruit, so another £5 spend probable.

An ebay purchaser complained that a top was too small, even though I had stated the size, but its not worth arguing, and so I refunded her 99p selling price. Hope that she doesn't want the p and p refunded too, else I will be out of pocket.

My teacher union membership dropped down to £5 this month, saving me £12 per month, and sky reduction kicks in next month.

So everything is looking rosy in Earthgirl land!

    This weekend I need to:

    - Let builders in
    - put washing on at friends
    - do a little more tidying
    - do tutoring
    - collect (free) orders from baby store, buy more items with vouchers (maybe bibs!)
    - do mystery shop (remember camera)
    - do mystery shop report
    - call credit card company, see if first 2 cases of wine were free :)
    - take back item to hardware store bought by OH, and get compost instead.
    - sort out plants, brought home from work as the cupboard is too hot - pot on.
    - call a tutee that I need to rearrange as I am training next week.
    - do marking examiners training and practice marking ( 1- 2 hours)
    - do small business work (4 hours)
    - do some more tidying - stuff in attic to nursery.
    - ironing (?)
    - wash and put away one lot os baby clothes.

Why would a massage cushion hurt the baby? Can't see how at all. If it works i would say go for it, but sounds like you need to ask the midwife for some advice.

Is it the weight of your bump? Can you get one of those support belts that hold some of the weight of it? Ask midwife if they loan out TENS machines. I was able to borrow one my 1st pregnancy. If you don't ask you don't get. Or hire one maybe? I know some shops did this but i can't remember who?

    Wow what a great day!

I enjoyed the heat, but stayed out of the sun of course!

I managed to do and dry 3 large washes at my neignours house, who is away at the moment (very kind of her!!) and I will probably do another 2 tomorrow, so that will be all bedding, towels, clothes - everything done!

I have done a bit of tidying and it feels so much better, I can see spaces in each room now! I am going to go into the attic fairly early tomorrow, as it gets quite hot, and bring the baby stuff down to the nursery.

I set up a few accounts to a baby store, and got loads of free £5 vouchers, today I cheekily collected but returned some of the items and managed to exchange for a beautiful musical cot mobile(reduced to £24), and 75 milk storage bags and only paid £2.50! I did feel very cheeky but am really pleased with the outcome!

I also returned some nighties I bought months ago to a shop, and a top I didn't have a receipt for (got as a present, but have FAR too many clothes), didn't think I'd get anything for them but managed to exchange for 14 bibs, a cute pair of baby shoes and got £2 back!

I also completed my mystery shop, so hopefully all will be ok with that, and thats another fiver to my kitty.

Got some compost with birthday voucher, and potted on my tomatos and some courgettes. I've been eating a lot of salad from the garden lately, can't wait for the tommys to catch up!! Looks like the strwbs and rhubarb are coming along nicely too. Lady at work gave me more rhubarb which I have stewed and devoured. Eating very cheaply, just a burger and salad for tea, salad for lunch and a half price icecone!

I called the credit card company to check I had been refunded for the first wine order (which was actually delivered last weekend and is sat in my hallway!) and not only had I been refunded, so got 12 bottles free :) , but I've been refunded an extra tenner :) (used a £10 off code). I will add the tenner to my kitty, and put the wine in the fridge, but may have to take it back of if they figure it out!!

Right off for an early ish night I am exhausted!

Thanks, used it again today, just for 1/2 hour.
I will take your advice, ask midwife, and enquire about the tens machine.
    Thanks!

Got loads of stuff done at the weekend, including washing all of the baby clothes and accessories from newborn - 3 months.
The last lot is drying in the nursery so just need to put it away tonight. I also tidied the attic and spare room, so although we have kitchen stuff everywhere, at least everyhting is ordered, and not in big piles everywhere.

This took me hours, so I still have some jobs left over to do during the week - before Thursday as i am heading down south for my examiners training course.

    To do Generally:
    - put baby clothes away DONE
    - do marking examiners training and practice marking ( 1- 2 hours) VERY IMPORTANT
    - do small business work (4 hours) VERY IMPORTANT DONE

    Work to do:
    - examiners conference prep can be done at work
    - set cover work for Friday DONE
    -year 10 reports amend
    - collect info and books from student teacher.

    Next Weekend:
    - take back item to hardware store bought by OH, take batteries back to electrical store, and return clothing item
    - ironing

    Hi all,

In the end I was glad I didn't do too much prep before the examiners conference, as it is all much clearer and precise now. I had a manic day on thursday, getting everything finished at work, and getting to the station on time, and it was manic getting there and getting myself tothe training and home again, but it all worked out fine, and I enjoyed the 'all expenses paid except drinks' night in the hotel (even if it as just bog standard!). I was very tired Friday and yesterday, and oh paid for a meal out on Friday, and a takeaway last night (out of his winnings).

I am in a mess with the budget now. How do I budget if OH won't take part? Do I ask him for money if he has cash spare and over pay? Or do I just enjoy the nights out and not worry that I haven't budgeted for meals out etc? I guess the latter - I just wish he got the money and thought yey I can overpay with that. I am sure he probably wishes I would splash out more with my money!!

Anyway budget a mess as I said - over by £200 on wine - normally oh pays for this himself. We did get 24 free bottles, and a tenner for an incorrect refund so it was a good deal !! I think I will right that off as the yearly wine budget and OH can buy any more wine he wantsout of his cash.

I also spent £44 more on fuel, but expected that as prices are so high, and will be balanced by low petrol usage later in the year when baby arrives. Grocery overspend of £15, this is covered by low teacher union payments, and money out of kitty. I had to get in lots of cold food as we have no cooker and OH needed to eat when I was away.

Right, going to mess about with my spreadsheet, and then off to create some food!
