I keep all money I find, even bits at school unless there's someone obviously looking for it. I found 37p on my desk today. Of course I would have returned it if a child had mentioned it but no one did. Does that make me a really bad person? :o

No! No one would miss that, and if they did why would they put it in your desk?!

I have been thinking all day about the pensioner that can't put on their fire cause I have their tenner:(

And if you knew who they were you'd return it in a heartbeat. Besides, it probably belonged to some underage lout who was on their way to buy cigs or booze so you've probably done society a temporary favour!

    Hi,

Older people hardly ever drop money, you should see the monetary protection my dad has on him!!! Usually takes him a good five minutes to unpack it when he needs to pay for something.

I agree with Courgette, chances are it was a younger person, they take money for granted and will just ask their mum for another tenner ;)

Wildchild I agree. I never lose money these days;) but I did when I was younger.

When I was in my 20's I was always "losing" my purse. It was only recently, whist watching the hustle, that I realised that I was probably continuously getting my pocket picked doh.gif These days my arm is firmly over the top of my handbag!

Had a bit of an irritating and un mse day today. Although I didn't actually spend anything!!

A pupil came to me in tears complaining about her family life and problems at school, and so I ran around trying to sort out the school stuff, and passed the family stuff on. This morning she was back to her usual 'shirty' self and I wish I had never bothered! But I have to I suppose, as part of my job as a general doormat. Didn't manage to hand in my pay forms as I had to spend my time sorting that out as well.

Today I was really unhappy with the preparation some of my pupils had obviously not done for their speaking exam. I am going to listen to the tapes again, to see wether I am just focusing on the bad. I also asked a pupil the same question twice, and also forgot to rewind one tape when I turned over, I was so stressed out. I can't "undo" it, and I'll put a note in with that tape tomorrow.

3 of my shopping bags split in mr ts obviously faulty, and the cashier did nothing to help me pick up the food rolling around on the floor. OH was delayed at work so I had to do about twenty trips around the back of the house and through as our kitchen is boarded up. Before I started the process I ran my mum on my mobile, which I have been trying not to spend on, but she did calm me down and make me feel more positive. My back is quite sore now so I am going for a bath to cheer myself up!

I know I have just had an irritating day, there is nothing wrong really.

Tonight I'm going to have that bath, maybe watch some tv and read. I am not going to worry about kids failing exams etc, and being manipulated, as loads of people have to put up with far far worse at work, and I normally love my job.

Tomorrow I will spend some time with my student teacher, complete my pay forms, tidy up, and get ready for next week. If I carry on getting stuff out of the way, soon I can relax more at work - I am really not good with stress anymore!

I had a terrible nights sleep, worrying about my year 11s exams, for the past few weeks especially I seem to get into really deep unhappy tearful moods - guess its hormones! OH has been great - very calming, but I couldn't relax until I had checked the tapes again, put the note in etc. After reading courgettes thread about people saying stress and pregnancy don't mix, I am starting to rethink my approach to work.

I have done everything REALLY essential, written all the sows for the dept apart from one, completed my pay forms (yey!!!!!) trained 2 student teachers, met my performance management criteria, and got a good grade when observed twice, so I really CAN and MUST let things tick over for the next few months - nobody would say anything about it, it would just take me to let go!

I get so stressed out about things, and I am pretty sure that there is no need! I have also committed to paid marking in June, so June in work needs to be taking things slower so I can work more at home :)

I have talked myself into reducing my workload and only doing the necessities!

Work to do list for the next few months:

    - Hand in pay forms DONE!!!! WOOOHOOO!
    - year 9 SOW NOT ESSENTIAL - Someone else can do it!
    - Compact project - complete 2 activities and update SOW - - Someone else can do the rest!
    - portfolio paperwork - do some, but don't do everybodys.
    - marking 8t, 9g, 10a
    - year 10 speaking coursework marking
    - Chase assessment marks from other teachers, NOT ESSENTIAL
    - Chase SOW from student teacher, and marking of assessments
    - Coordinate assessments for this 1/2 term

    Next 1/2 term
    - 1 round of writing assessments (end june, after exam papers sent back)
-1 1 round of book marking (end june)
    - Create file of important stuff for maternity replacement

    THATS IT!

Home To Do List for this weekend/ coming week:
    Sat
    - clean 1/2 of house
    - 1 tutoring client
    - boots to collect points and spend on deoderant for OH.
    - relist one expensive item on ebay

    - spend some time with OH

    Sun
    - Clean 1/2 of house.
    - 2 tutoring clients

Forgot to say, from an mse point of view, I only spent £43 on a monthly bulk shop, so that leaves me about £12/week for fruit, salad and milk, so I will hopefully come in under budget, and use that to balance my toiletries overspend.

I complaine about service in Boots and can collect 150 points from the machine as a sorry, so I am going to use that to get Ohs deoderant for this month (I don't seem to use half as much!!! Maybe I smell?!!!

I also got some washing powder samples after emailingsome companies, so I hope that will last me through the month.
