    Hi all,

Did a little banking this morning, and it seems that between the two home accounts I have the op money of £1250, so I will try to make the op tomorrow.

    Hi All,

I managed to make my op of £1000 for December earlier in the month, and Christmas is just about sorted, so I am feeling quite pleased with myself. Everything seems to be going well, at the moment anyway! I have not had any morning sickness or aches and pains, but I do feel really grotty if I get over tired, so I am trying to only do 1 tutoring after school - the second seems to wipe me out! The only problem is some clients can only do after 6pm, so I;ll carry on for a while, before I explain they need to find someone else!

Even though I am physically fine, I find myself feeling like I can't be bothered to do stuff now and again - don't know if thats the hormones or the time of year!!

Anyway I need to buck my ideas up a bit. I'm staying back tonight to do extra work at school, before doing a late tutoring. I finish work tomorrow for 2 weeks - woohoo!

In the hols I plan to get lots of rest, go swimming every day, do some small business work everyday, and tidy the house up - a little every day should do the trick!!

I think it's the time of year as I'm definitely in a 'can't be bothered' mood!

Yay for the two week holiday:T

    Hi all,

I can't believe I haven't posted for ages again! I have been having a lovely week off from everything really!

Normally when I don't post I loose the motivation to OP and I start spending, so I need to make sure I'm still on track.

I actually have spent more money this week than intended. I've started to go off certain foods and only want to eat healthy - in the exteme - foods. I normally have home cooked fare spag bol etc, but at the moment I want loads of organic salad and fresh organic meat and fish - VERY expensive though!!

Although I don't want to blow the food bugdet (£65 this week, normally about £20) I might have a look at the OS board to see how I can make my organic fresh food stretch a little bit further! When I return to school I'll plant up some winter density salad as well.

Something that might save me money as well - I think I might cancel my gym membership after end of Jan. Hopefully by then the weather will have improved enough to get out walking more. But the real reason is I can't use the sauna, steam room or spa anymore, and I'm not sure about the pool.

Some bright spark brought to my attention yesterday that as there is no shower near the sauna and steamroom, the people sweat out all of their impurities and then jump into the pool. That makes me feel sick - I don't want to be swimming around in other peoples waste products eurgh!!!

I'm going to try the machines upstairs again, but I don't feel very happy up there so I think I'll hand in my 30 day notice!

I have two days left before we head up to scotland for new year. In those days I need to

-transfer money out of high interest savings account that has ended into current for time being. Then transfer £1000 as Jan op
    - tidy up garden, in preparation for transfering strawbs etc back from allotment
    - write letter to gym.
    - small business work - sort out website editing program, and ccomplete some promotion work
    - fill in form for medical appt.
    - collect seed trays from allotment ready to take to work.

I am also going to do a tutoring today, and have a medical appointment tommorrow.

OH won £3000 on the horses yesterday. I am just dreading the fact that he will blow this on absolutley nothing, so for the first time ever I have tried to talk to him about it. It didn't really work, and I still feel a bit upset about it. He wants to just flash the cash and buy everyone drinks at New Year, and he will put the rest to one side for our new kichen. I just wish he would over pay it, or put it in a higher interest account or something. I guess compromise is the answer, we will see what happens!

HI ya, yuck to the gym! You'll be fine swimming during pregnancy I'm sure you'll know that but maybe go to the public swimming pool so still saving on the gym fees but at least you won't be swimming in as much yuckness.

Don't know what to say r.e. £3000 but at least he said he'll put some towards the kitchen, just get him to give you the money before New Year's eve!

Hope you have a fantastic new Year, best wishes for 2010 xx

Yey Earthgirl I was wondering how your getting on.

As for the local swimming pool evab if it's anything like mine...it's probably even more yucky...kids pee in it!! Having said that...it will be chlorinated so all nasties should be killed off.

Try yoga or aqua natal aerobics. A lady I know did those and ended up really fit by the end of her pregnancy in a strong body/mind kinda way...not a ready to run a marathon way. I know it's my plan for if/when we ever take the kiddy plunge.

    Enjoy Scotland....I'm sooo jealous.

Hope you and OH can work on a compromise on the monies; do you have a specific agreed budget to save for the kitchen and what about some of his winnings being spent on BOTH of you as a treat; this may balance his desire to enjoy winnings and then have remaining sum put towards the "kitchen fund"?

    Best wishes for 2010

    Hi All,

OH spent a lot of the money on new year, but didn't manage to get figures or any cash out of him. I just have to trust him and encourage him to be thrifty. He is paying for all of the kitchen renovations anyway now (I was going to put some money in, but I don't need to now, and he is not stupid, so he'll just have to be careful! We just don't see exactly eye to eye where money wastage is concerned, but there's no point having a major fall out.

Our new years trip to Scotland was lovely, we had a great time and the band b we stayed at was good value. It was a good break and we were lucky with the weather.

School was closed yesterday, so I tidied up the attic and spare room in preparation for the move around to create a small nursery. Today school is open, but no children so I am just doing filing (ahem, reading mse!)

So here are my thoughts on what I need to do in 2010:

    House renovations:
Kitchen extention and new kitchen (paid for by OH - circa £20,000)
Painting of two spare rooms, one small carpet replaced - this should only cost about £100.
Need a new chest of drawers - see if I can source from freecycle, if not budget of £90 for solid pine/oak replacement.
Nursery equipment - already sourced from freecyle, but I bet I've missed something! Ask mum if I can borrow a nursing chair.

    Holidays:
I will have to cancel the camping holiday I had booked for July 2010, I might ask them to move my reservation for a year after - mum says I went camping when I was 6 months old, so I'm sure a year old old will be ok?
As a replacement, OH and I might go somewhere at Easter perhaps, using our airmiles - the flights and hotel accomodation deals don't seem to good at the moment though. If not a good bandb somewhere relaxing for a weekend will be fine!

    Income
I have been feeling really tired lately and have not really had much energy, but people tell me that fades in the next few weeks of pregnancy, so I should be able to get more into tutoring - I have mostly stopped doing 2 appointments per evening, and have just been doing one, but I vow to make an extra special effort to fit all the clients in from next week onwards.

Now that OH has decided he will pay for the kitchen renovations - I will put the £2000 from the savings account straight into the mortgage, and then update my figures.

    Outgoings
I vow that I will have an MSE pregnancy and first four months! I have upped our food budget to £80/ month, this is to make sure I am able to get plenty of fresh fruit and veg - organic where possible. My challenge is to make the stuff I am buying go further.

I have gone through my clothes and put aside anything I won't be able to wear, and my mum has given me a few maternity tops that will hopefully see me through, along with OHs t-shirts!

I have loads of baby clothes and equipment from Freecycle, and I just need to get the last lot of items before this Easter.

I have handed in my notice at the gym, and when I see my energy levels rise, I will try to do 3 good bouts of exercise per week.

    Priorities for 2010
    Health
    House
    MSE Pregnancy, birth and beyond!!!
