Great news that you're feeling better, hope you get a rest over Easter break?
Hmm I get my kind of break, where I do the things that I choose to do, like work on our business and sort out my allotment!
Hubby has just come out of hospital for his second arm operation so I am general slave at the moment, as he is in a lot of pain bless him.
The Bad News
:eek:Have done a really expensive thing today, but it desperately needed doing. I had my teeth lasered, to whiten them, it cost £275, and should last 18 months at least. However, my teeth are unrecognisable now, 6 shades lighter and I feel so much better when I smile. I'd rather spend my money on that than clothes and magazines.
:oI am also not tutoring a lot this week as its Easter break.
The Good News
:TI have got my allotment very organised and my portable walk in green house thing is doing a great job. I have quite a lot growing already and have got more still to plant. My strawberry plants have lots of flowers already!I hope to be really self sufficient with fruit and veg in a few weeks.
Although my eating is still pretty crap (:o booo) tomorrow is a new day and I WILL get back on track!
:TI am managing to do loads with our business and we are still really busy (touch wood, fingers crossed it will carry on!)
Still to do in next 2 days:
Fill in tax form Done
Gather mortgage quotes
take car to garage for recall
Eat properly and do exercise! sort of
Continue with business work done

Well I just think a smile is so important! And as I don't buy clothes or anything girlie I thought it was ok. Because I generally talk myself out of things like this I am still feeling very guilty at spending this amount of money on myself!
Still it has reconfirmed the importance of being sensible with our money. Today I spent £20 on presents wrapping and cards for my friend, mum and gran. I plan to have NSDs tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. I have not had a NSD for ages, and I have been very unfrugal, going out for meals and getting takeaways willy nilly!
Its also played havoc with my waistline (been good today :T)
My problem is time - if I'm tutoring or working on our business I earn more money than I save by preparing meals from scratch. I will have a go at batch cooking again, as I know it does save me time and money. I have also lost my motivation to be MF, so I have to remind myself of the reason I am doing it.
I really want to have the option to change my lifestyle within the next four years. I want to spend more time doing the things I love, and only work part time, perhaps for myself.Or perhaps we will have children?? who knows, but Idon't want to spend my life with my nose to someone elses grindstone!
My OH achieved his dream three years ago, setting up his own business, and is now happy for me to try and achieve my goals. I think I might need to have a "chat" with him about both of us getting back on track, or I'm never going to get there!
Right I'm going to keep myself posting on here as it seems to 'rescue me' when I loose sight of my goal.

You've posted some positive notes here so I hope you can now get back to motivation with Spring around us. Try to look at the complete picture and what all the different elements add up to, then perhaps you can focus on some which "fit" with your mind-set whilst others are put to one side for a while.
Hopefully you and OH can layout all the things you have been doing and map out the plans you hope to fulfill, then it should highlight the gaps to be bridged to achieve them. A big sheet of A3 paper may be useful for that if you are into mindmapping and images rather than lists?
Best wishes0 -
Thanks SGMC- I am a list queen and have two different books that I keep lists and diagrams in! I love lists!
Anyway had chat with OH and he now re understands the importnace of us not being silly with our money, still enjoying life, but allowing me to work towards a bit of freedom too!
He was lovely last night, it was our last day of "holiday", and instead of dragging me to the pub, we actually stayed in and played cards and talked - I really enjoyed it. and I won
I have decided that my new fitness regime will be two slots of three hours putting leaflets through doors in selected neighbourhoods in the region. This has the great bonus of giving me a reason to walk, and saving the business money!
List for tomorrow:
1. Business work - publicising our joint packages with a big hotel.
2. get mortgage quote, ready for review on Saturday.
3. Allotment - water everything and prepare another bed, plant out salad.
4. More business work
Thursday
1. Two tutorings (£50 for OP pot)
2. Leaflet drop (3hrs)
3. More business work
Friday
1. Shopping
2. Batch cooking (chili, spag bol)
Tonight I'm going to finish off the cleaning, then ready for relaxing night before I go at it like a storm tomorrow - I've got my motivation back! yey!

So this weekend all that I need to do is a leaflet drop and rotavate a bed at the allotment and plant.
Might do the allotment now, and then postcard drop later, after lunch.
Was dying for a takeaway last night!! Didnt have one and dragged myself to the kitchen to make chicken and veg :A
This saving of £19 is equivalent to one hour of working at my normal job, if I think of it this way it keeps me motivated!
