I'm in a similar sort of position and am currently looking at getting inclusive phone and broadband package. I have discounted talktalk and post office as I have heard bad things about the service of both and am considering the two below for heavy internt usage and line rental.
Plusnet - http://www.plus.net/residential/bundles.shtml
However they charge £99+VAT to activate the phone line and £40+VAT to activate BB .... £163 before I start then £30pcm.
Direct Save Telecom - http://www.directsavetelecom.co.uk/
Awaiting their response to my email but the package looks good @ £25pcm and 1 month contract.0 -

Averages out over first year at £13.50 a month.
£65 cashback i believe at www.cashbackkings.com
I think from checking samknows, cable is unavailable in my area, so would you agree that plusnet would be a sensible option to choose? I think that is what i am leaning towards at the moment !0 -

We have the Sky package, it starts at £17 for TV, free 2MB broadband (with a free wireless router) and free evening and weekend calls. They often have deals where if a friend (already a SKY customer) recommends you, you and your friend will get something free (offers have been you and your friend get a free SKY+ box upgrade or you and your friend receive £50 marks and spencer vouchers each).
We had the vouchers and I have had no problems with the broadband connection (has been over a year now). They will install a new dish and you will have to sign-up for a 12 month contract, after that you can cancel and all of the equipment is yours to keep.0 -
Cheers for your comments guys, one thing i would like to find out is, whether there is any indication anywhere as to how much bandwidth XBOX Live usage requires. I have found information and usage calculators on gaming in general, butthey tend to refer to PC gaming, with things such as 'WOW' and 'Counterstrike'.0
