So AOL admit there is an issue...

    Doesn't explain Virgin though... :o

Still the same for me right now :o Don't use facebook so that's not an issue for me :p

I'm thinking I might just be on a really slow exchange. We're moving to a LAN exchange soon so hopefully it will be better then.

The whole webpages crashing or taking minutes to load is driving me

I often just have to shut down the PC as I just can't get it to do anything.

  • molezak, you are on a fixed 2mbs service, you should be able to get a much better connection speed with that attn on an 'up to 8mbs' service.

molezak, if you are paying for a 2mbs connection, then you are getting exactly that, your speedtest result is ok for 2mbs. if you believe you are on a 'up to 8mbs' package, just phone tt and ask them what's going on. there is not, necessarily, a problem, though your line has potential for a much higher sync/download speed, probably the full 8mbs (7150), I'd happily have that line myself, if it wasn't attached to TT.. ;)

Now you've got me thinking. We have had such immense problems with TT (now sorted - well I thought they were) that I've not known whether I was coming or going. According to our paperwork we should be able to receive up to 8 meg but in brackets, the speed depends on our proximity to the exchange.

looking at the figures, you should be able to see the exchange from your window. ring 'em up and complain. point out you are getting a fixed 2mbs service
    :)
