I have the exact same problem , and I am on AOL.
Came home from work last night, no access to facebook. I presumed it was facebook and left it a while, only to be frustrated that I still have no access to it this morning.
As an IT bloke and pretty clued up, I tried clearing out cache, I did a system restore, disabled and enabled firewalls, nothing I did seem to make a difference.
Tried my second PC , same result.
Logged into work from home, and used the BT internet connection, worked fine.
I have also now tried itv.co.uk and some others mentioned in this thread and I cannot access them either.
98% of all other websites are working fine.
AOL , knickers, twist springs to mind.0 -
molezak, many things contribute to slow speed, much as I have a dislike for TT etc, you may just be too far for the exchange to get much better, ar maybe running on dodgy internal wiring (telephone extension?) get fyour router stats from here and we can make an educated guess, main things required are downstream attenuation (ATT) signal to noise ratio (SNR) and , most importantly, sync speedUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

There have been periods during the last week when I couldn't even access google!.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
Found the modem and upon clicking on the link to get the stats I got this...

Found on another forum :
Your not with AOL, by any chance! I'm having similiar issues; thought it was a virus, my checkers detected nothing (run avg and Norton) then phoned AOL who told me the problem is with their network. I can't get onto facebook at all because of it. They reckon it will be fixed by the morning.0
