and why is it so bloody hard to understand ;) Can't answer that one they don't make it easy that's for sure. Personally I think they put a couple of these £1 buy it now auctions in for the publicity it brings.
I know I've been checking constantly since I 'won' my pans or at least I think I've won they haven't arrived yet!!
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves

If you want to check whether you've won a particular item you've bid on, just go to 'previous auctions', put in the relevant date and scroll down to find your auction. There should be a list of winners names. HTH

Have to say in their defence, I've bought quite a few things from them over the years, and have always been very happy with them. Also, this £1 bargain stuff isn't a new thing, the whole idea of these channels is that the price keeps dropping until they sell. If you check the clearance bargains on their website, there are often items for a couple of pounds plus postage. I've had some really brilliant purchases for silly prices. (Am now waiting for my cancellation email lol!)

I had used them in the past, from when they first started broadcasting.

Have managed to sort it out, though when I rang up again to confirm if they had sorted it out yet, they tried to fob me off with two excuses, I just told them I'll see you in court and I'll also contact trading standards, they soon said OK, we'll carry on looking into it, strange that less than 10 mins later they were able to phone me back and say they problem was sorted and I'll get my item.

I just think they try it on now and then on items they really didn't want to go at such prices. They don't mind with others because they make money on the P&P and it enough covers the difference in the true value as the vast majority of items sold on these channels even when people think they are getting bargains are easily found cheaper elsewhere.

There are some bargains to be had, but they are few and far between in reality.

I have used them in the past as I said, from when they first started.

Today it was only through threatening them with court action and trading standards that they sorted the 'problem' out.

I too have now received the email.

They seemed quite happy not having issues when the prices were higher than £1, as soon as too many items are going for £1 they seem to hit on issues for a portion of people, maybe they are happy at letting some go for the £1 so word gets around, but not them all forgetting word also gets around too about that.

Now I'd used them in the past for items which I did want and were a bargain, it's not like I'm new to them, I also do a lot of home work and can see most items they sell are dearer than you can get elsewhere, it's just occasionally they do have some bargains. I don't just buy something when I dodn't need the item, unless I think I can sell it on elsewhere at profit or give it as a present.

    Do you need them?

Or is it bidding for the sake of bidding?
