Dave.
Well no mates, ...........Do you really have mates??
Rather than turn this in to a slagging match between us, I would suggest that we let this pathetic nonsense of yours drop! Please feel free to come back when/if you ever have something possitive or constructive to contributeNon illigitamus carborundum!!0 -
Even though I received my BACS funds from KE on Friday, just wanted to let those that are still waiting know that I hope things are resolved for you soon. Hang in there.
Also like to leave this quote for you all:
It lies in the nature of a neurotic to wish to diminish the feeling of inferiority by constant proofs of his superiority. -Alfred AdlerI want to move to theory. Everything works in theory.0 -

Guys shut you up....let's avoid a scene and stick to the subject at hand
Over the past week I have been quite calm, believing that I will see my money(100k) once the backlog issue is resolved.
By Monday all (minus the manual ones) payments will be honoured and then I shall proceed with calling them in order to get my money out.
If by monday/tuesday there is still a large number of people unpaid then PANIC and ill join you:wall:0 -

Thanks. That pretty much discounts the "disappeard at Kaupthing Singer and Freidleander" theory for me. 36 missing 7th and before and 50 8th and after. There appears to be no correlation between the date of the takeover and the dates of the unpaid transactions.
This is not the first time that one bank has acquired deposits of another and there will always be transactions in pogress when these takeovers occur. They will be picked up, no question.
As far as the theory of KSF "diverting funds", I don't buy that either as that would simply be fraud. And even if they had diverted £1bn to Timbuktu it doesn't change the fact that the treasury paid ING £2.5bn for the deposits, in which anyone who had a KE balance not transferred to their linked account at the time has a interest.
Same old story. We need individual information about where our money is from ING if it does not come in tomorrow.0 -

I agree with most of what you say but I am slowly warming to the theory that ING saw the CHAPS transfers as completed, even after the takeover.
This opens up a whole new can of worms; do banks really know where the money is, during electronic transfers? If it has disappeared from a customer’s account, they assume it has reached the destination account. I’m very surprised there is no system of confirmation from the destination bank. This must be one of the many shortfalls that need addressing with some new banking regulations.
I would be happy with an acknowledgement from ING that they’re specifically looking into the CHAPS issue and a genuine timescale. Let’s hope this happens sooner rather than later.0
